The parking lot was full of people all over. Upon entering the establishment three customers were at register area looking at menu's and trying to place to go orders with the lady at register. No one even acknowledged I as a customer had even entered the building. I stood at wait area and looked through and could see several customers sitting and talking. Finally a young woman came around corner and asked if I was waiting to be seated. I answered with a yes reply , when she did not bother to welcome me , she let me know that I was in for a long wait (an hour,) if not more. That they had many customers in which four tables had yet to even been waited on. I listened and then replied and a To Go Order, she said the same...I said over an hour for a to go order. She replied or longer. The thing was as soon as you enter an establishment of this like (a pancake house) no matter what time...you should smell the aroma of food ...(WHY WAS NO ONE COOKING) more so with the customers already seated and services should of been being rendered? At least COFFEE...smells of fresh coffee to be offered to your customers.. REGARDLESS. This IS THE TYPE BUSINESS IT IS:.... it should of had professional friendly staff waiting to wait on their customers and staff preparing foods as ordered , no matter if it was lunch time or 3:00 am on ANY GIVEN DAY where was management, where were the STAFF, the PROFESSIONAL STAFF ...this young girl NEVER HAD ANY INTENTIONS OF SERVICING ME AS A CUSTOMER. She may as well of locked the doors CLOSED...for her lack of character. This was a very sad thing to see last night within a business for the community. It is an establishment that is located in a very prominent place in the community (around hotels, easy access to the busy interstates) which is an excellent business location and yet (poor management speaks volumes) as visitors passing through or business trips or family coming in and out of this town. Honestly, IHOP management...STEP UP...OWN YOUR RESPONSIBILITY!!! Or actually LOCK THE...
Read moreThe food was wonderful, but they have really cut back on some menu items sentence the covid outbreak first shut down so many restaurants and made people stay home. I had asked the waitress about their dessert they made with a banana cream fried in a pasty shell and served with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream and hot caramel sauce and cinnamon and sugar sprinkled over the top of the outside of the fried pastry shell. It was always one of my favorites and I ordered it every time and the young lady that waited on me. Well really did make me angry when she said we never served that here ! Wow . It is one thing to disagree about something like that with a customer your waiting on but to be so hateful and rude to them and because they are handicapped is another she had no problem with getting the order or talking to my husband or my adult 30 yr old single son that was with me. But turned her back to me when they started talking to her. And she told me that the milkshakes were the only dessert that IHOP had ever served. Really they sure do need to roll this one up and keep her in the back of the restaurant. At least till she learns more about the restaurant and some simple manners and control maybe some kindness for people who are handicapped or disabled or different from her. It's called some kooth and or class. Or manners or style. It makes you look a whole lot better and the place you work for too. And people actually like you and you get more back in the long run. You get friends, kindness back, bigger tips, better raise . Promotions from work. And it makes you feel better inside. Ok...
Read moreI made a to go order I showed up 15 minutes later as told. I paid, then the host went to check. The host comes back and was upset that the cook didn’t even begin my order. She also admitted to me that there was only 1 cook that night (on a Saturday night); The cook told her “Yeah I can make it” as he was unphased. All the servers were lounging around not doing anything. Guests were unattended, trying to pay out with no tickets given to them. So the poor host was trying to find out where food went where. Extremely unprofessional from the staff. It took an HOUR for my food to be close to done.
They finally got it ready and there was 3 tables trying to pay and a full line of people waiting to get tables and the host admitted to them that it was gonna take a long time for them to be seated. So basically everyone walked out upset.
I called the manager over to ask what’s the deal and she apologized and gave excuses that she was “trying her best and was helping in the back” but I’m in the food business myself and food tickets don’t get ignored. So obviously she wasn’t doing her job. I already paid out before my food even came out and she’s trying to beat around the bush about helping me out. I gave her my info and I was upset and left.
Every time I’ve been to this IHOP I’ve been given the worst service and tonight I was through. This place needs a good shutdown, hardcore retraining and staff that cares about their job.
Ps. Google needs to have an option...
