Decent looking area, near freeway and a couple miles from town. Old motel, old room, rusty fridge but it worked and has a freezer. Very smelly perfumed room probably covering up smoke, we opened window to air out but too many ppl walking by, too much talking and road noise to leave open. Swampy pond in rear with mosquitoes and kids fishing. Motel was full, we got the last room, didn't really feel safe here despite well lit parking lot. Apartments next door increased car traffic. Lots of electrical outlets, good lighting and good tv with channel guide, but worst thing was the mold spot on ceiling that we found next morning. Clerk was informed, apologized and was concerned enough to report it. WiFi didn't work and Verizon data was terrible in the room- had to go outside, surprising since its right next to I-30. Ice machine was out of order, coffee sucked, floor was sticky, parking lot was shady (man talking outside of room at 1:45 a.m.)

It’s a Motel 6, not a Ritz Carlton. As long as you know your expectations, this motel is the beater work truck of motels. It was the top 5 cheapest motels in the region. You get 2 bars of soap, little noisy AC, toilet handle that you just move back up to make the flushing noise stop. The room was relatively clean. You get older bed blankets/sheets. The room has a very light odor of a dated motel but it wasn’t overbearing. It kind of smells like homes in Mexico with high humidity. I LOVED the 1 EV charger outlet for high voltage 240V NEMA 14-50 outlet only near the green EV sign, near the check in office, mounted 3 feet high. Pro tip, go to Walmart and get a NEMA 14-50 to 120v adapter in automotive if you don’t own a level 2 charger. Bottom line, I paid less than $60/night out the door which is a fair rate. I’m happy with my stay, I got the sleep I needed.

Room is standard Motel 6 and clean/comfortable. Front desk was awesome. The only thing that makes me uneasy is the 6 people who ordered take-out, dispersing and eating it on the steps outside my room. They've been outside behind their vehicle since I've gotten here...do they have a room? or are they taking shifts sleeping? The fact that the police were here when I arrived, discussing with management about an eviction of a long term the is not cool either. I will pack all my stuff into my room, because they are unwilling to spend time in their own, apparently. I understand people being outside, visiting, doing whatever...but, they've not been in a room since I got here, and to eat dinner on the trunk of their vehicle? yeah, not cool. at least they moved back to their original location after dinner.

The sign advertises, "New Rooms, Low Rate, $45.99" and the property looked nice, so we stopped. The agent at the desk said that for two people plus tax the rate was $65.00 and a military discount earned us a $2.00 discount. No mention was made of the 10% senior discount, even though hubby is 63 years old. When asked, the agent referred him to Anytime Fitness, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, where he could exercise for free since staying at Motel 6.

When asked where Anytime Fitness was located, the desk agent looked it up on the Internet, and gave him an address. HeI spent lots of time searching for it and finally asked some locals where it was but no one had heard of it.

Meanwhile, I washed my hair and noticed there is not hair dryer, so asked him to go to the front desk and get one. No one even knew what a hair dryer was and stated they did not have any, so he had to drive all around to find a Walgreens that sold hair dryers! He spent $20 on something that most hotels have mounted on the wall.

As we watched the news upon our arrival at the hotel, we heard a crash in the bathroom, as the towel rack above the toilet fell out of the wall! Perhaps if the owners of the hotel hired Americans who can speak English and know the hotel business they would have more people use the facility.

Only one employee spoke English, and he gave very poor advice and service. Although the hotel is pretty clean it is located next to a very busy intersection with loud trucks driving past at all hours. I felt very frustrated by...

I will not stay here at this location in Mt Pleasant, TX again. The only good thing I can say was my ac worked great and the housing staff (2 that cleaned the rooms) were polite and helpful. I got there in the evening and checked in. When I got to my room, there were several problems- lights not working, tv wouldn’t turn on, the bathroom door would not shut or even lock(part of the knob was missing), etc.. The noise level kept waking me up throughout the night. So the next morning after a failed attempt to go back to sleep once again, I left to speak to the desk clerk and run my errands I was in town to do. The desk clerk was rude and finally after after 3 times asking to move rooms, I was finally told it be about. 2hours before I could be moved. This was fine since I knew it was to clean a room. Once I returned and got new room almost directly beneath the previous room, it was not much better. In order to open them back room door, I had to use my weight to help unstick it. After having sumone one come to the room for the tv not working, the guy finally got 1 channel(sports channel) working- irritatin but worked for I only used it to drown out noise outside. There was busted privacy look, The toilet rocked , and the fridge didn’t work. Upon check out, again I was greeted rudely by a different person. So no I will not...

We stayed here when we were driving across the country with our cat. We needed a place to spend the night that was clean, affordable, and relatively quiet place to sleep with no tiny spaces for the cat to wedge herself, and that is what we got. I was very grateful that all the furniture was built in, because after two days in the car, the cat would have cemented herself into any space she could find. She didn't find any except under the pillows on the bed.

We reserved a non-smoking room, but someone had clearly been smoking in there, as the room had a slight odor and there was a cigarette burn on the comforter. The staff person at the front desk got very defensive when we mentioned it at checkout. (Though we did leave ridiculously early.) The towels were clean but old. The walls were thin, but none of our neighbors were overly loud, we could just hear them moving around and talking normally. Overall, I would recommend to someone traveling with a cat, but it's nothing...
