Wendy's — Restaurant in Mount Sterling

If I could give negative reviews I certainly would. Spent $20(+) on 2 burgers at the Mt. Sterling KY location, at 7:00pm on 6-8-2025.. , mine being a Dave's double. 3/4 of the way through I take a bite and bite into something hard .. open up the burger & here's what was laying IN the toppings (see pics) .. now a hair I might could say was an accident, maybe a missing pickle... But how does any competent food employees miss this amid the green lettuce, mayo, & bright red tomatoes....? Immediately it dawned on me in fast food you open the buns, & toss the bread tie whereas it's not going to be needed again due to volume of sales so how did my burger get a bread tie in it? From the floor? From the garbage? Pure neglect to adhere to food safety ?? After bringing it up to the "employee/kid manager" he acted as if it was no big deal. Hus solution? Refund the price of the burger only even though the remaining food was obviously tossed in the trash & after thinking of the possibilities of where it came from I vomited up the portion I had already eaten. I now have to think of what if I had swallowed that sharp piece of plastic? What if a tooth had broken off? What if it were a young child? I'm disgusted with the non chalant attitude & blatant disregard for food safety .. I WILL NOT ever be back & I will ensure all those I know are made aware of this incident. I never leave negative reviews... and I felt so bad that I was leaving one, that Im giving them 2 stars just because I feel bad for leaving 1 star.🤣 But it is 230pm on December 9th, 2020. (This way the manager know who was working and MIGHT fix the issue.) We come to this wendys often and I dont even know why... its never fresh, everything is always cold and the beverages taste terrible. But back to why im reviewing today, I'm done 100%. They didnt bother even wrapping my sandwich, just threw it down in the bag basically 'with' a wrapper rather than the wrapper being on the sandwich. The cheese, mayo, lettuce everything all down in the bag. Took two bites chewy cold bacon, cold hamburger. It was at this moment I realized, if they dont take anymore pride than that in thier food, id imagine the inside of the kitchen, restaurant and employees themselves take no pride in much of anything else as far as the establishmentand thier jobs go. Today 04/21/2021 around 8:30am we went through the drive thru. Ive been a GM for different fast food chains for years! The person who took my order did a FANTASTIC job! Im a mom I am completely exhausted. My stop this morning was completely amazing. My son wanted eggs and a hash brown. I was craving that honey chicken biscuit. When we pulled up I realized you guys didnt have hash brown and the order taker told me about, and really sold those seasoned potato's which were pretty amazing by the way. Then I didnt see eggs on the menu but it happened for my baby. Then orange juice was offered. I almost ordered soda 😳 I definitely needed that orange juice! Get to the window and still just mind blown because the politeness I received I am thankful and beyond happy with the kind courtesy and smiling faces and accuracy of my order.
