Hardee’s — Restaurant in Mount Vernon

This place is a joke! I always try to be fair and look for a positive in the situation, but nothing positive here. When I entered the lobby, there were 3 people behind the counter working and 2 customers waiting for food. I stood at the counter for 5+ minutes without anyone acknowledging me. When I did finally get waited on, it was by the girl who had been pretending to clean in front of me for the whole 5 minutes I stood in front of her. I ordered 2 sandwiches, a small fry and small drink to go. I had to correct her after she tried to ring in 2 meal deals. I said I didn't want the meals but she said it was cheaper that way and the total was $21.00. After she corrected the order, it came to $17.00. One of the customers who had been waiting finally spoke up and asked why it has taken over 20 minutes for his food and said he wanted a refund. The girl who took my order looked at his ticket and said that the food was ready. It was ready because it had been sitting on the counter since before I ordered. He then got handed his drink and he said it was in error because he ordered a shake. The gal said it was a shake and he shook it so she could see and he said it's more like chocolate milk. The girl copped an attitude and slammed the watery shake into the trash and made him another one. A couple minutes later, the 2nd customers order was done. Guess what..... he had a shake too and it was also watery. He said it was too watery and the worker aid she made it 3 times and used the correct amount of ice cream all three times. The guy just left it on the counter and walked out. 5 minutes later, my hot ham n cheese sandwiches were done being microwaved and I left. 13 minutes for 2 microwaved sandwiches..... DO...

Waited a half hour for food, then two items were missing! We forgot to order a drink, and went back to the counter to get another one. We stood at the counter a good 10 minutes without even being acknowledged. The "shift supervisor (according to his name tag) walked by us numerous times during this time. Once we received our food, we noticed two items we ordered were misding, the woman bringing out our meals, (who was the only one with customer service skills) apologized that the food was taking forever. She said the cook was "allergic to almost everything on the menu". After waiting an ADDITIONAL 15 minutes, we walked up to the counter and asked if we could get a refund on the items that we did not receive. The SHIFT MANAGER said he had to "make a phone call before he could give us a reufnd". I saw him in the office just sitting in there (NOT on a phone). After waiting ANOTHER 10 minutes, he gave us a refund for the two items, and had no apologies what so ever. This was the second time we have been in there within the last two weeks, and had a similar situation. BOTH times we were in there, THE ENTIRE staffswas wearing, FILTHY clothes and back staff wasnt wearing a hair net!!! This place needs a visit from the health department!!! NEVER...

We will never go there again! My sons and I went through the drive thru and ordered a roast beef combo, monster roast beef combo-no mayo, chicken sandwich combo-extra mayo and lettuce only, and an al a carte roast beef sandwich. I had to repeat everything several times but I felt someone was in training so not a big deal. He apparently wasn't trained in repeating back orders though. When we got to the window, he was super friendly. The manager also had a headset, thus why we thought he was in training. Our meal was a mess! Monster roast beef had mayo so my son couldn't eat it at all, the roast beef from the combo had a chunk of non chewable gristle, chicken sandwich had mayo, pickles and NO lettuce and we didn't get the roast beef sandwich at all. My sons (adult sons, not children) took the receipt and the sandwiches inside to let the manager know. She told them sorry it happened but they weren't going to fix it because I'm her opinion, that's how we ordered it. There were three of us in the truck. I have witnesses as to how I ordered it . We will never go there again and we highly recommend nobody go there at all. I'd give negative stars if it was an option. The two atmosphere stars are for the smiling polite trainee, the manager gets...
