I hate to write this review because I have not ever really had many complaints about this restaurant (besides occasional cranky server but everyone gets that way sometimes we are all human). Today I ordered a call in take out order and what I said was misheard over the phone. I went in to pick up my order and then went in my car just to make sure I had everything, I realized what I had ordered my boyfriend was wrong. I called my boyfriend asking if he would eat it (even though I had no idea what was in it or what it was besides it being a burrito) and he said he wanted his order. So I mustered the courage to go in and talk to them about it (since I really don’t like confrontation and didn’t want to come off as mad) and what I was met with was just not good. I went in saying that I think there was a mix up in my order and immediately I was met with “no that is what you ordered” which I said that I didn’t, and I didn’t even know what item menu it was. The guy kept saying “no you didn’t say that” several times, but I just kept saying I didn’t say that. Finally after a couple of minutes of this (which honestly I was on a brink of tears) he finally yelled back telling them to make the thing I ordered and just told me 20 mins. I wish I could say it ended here but it didn’t. I went home to eat my food and realized as well that I had received some type of beans instead of my guacamole?? Which I never knew was an item menu either. So my boyfriend came with me to pick up the burritos and exchange our other wrong item and the guy simply said “no exchange you will have to pay for that” and my boyfriend said “she did pay for it you gave her the wrong thing do you possibly have her receipt?” And the guy didn’t and I just said to drop it. He also made us take the wrong burrito item “to throw away at our house”. Overall just a very awful experience and I love their food, but to be treated like that was just not professional and makes me not want to order...
Read moreI've been here a few times (mostly out of lack of options nearby) and have never been impressed. It's small, dirty, overpriced and the COVID modifications make the atmosphere cringy. This time we ordered food for dine in and to go. The dine in food was the same as usual, nothing impressive and overpriced for a small town and compared to similar restaurants. The to go order however, was a disaster. One of the people I was taking food to has Celiacs, so their food could not touch the other persons to go order (whom ordered flour soft shell tacos). The waiter simply could not grasp the concept or didn't care and not because of a language barrier as he said he understood and spoke excellent english. He brought the 2 to go orders out mixed together and when I pointed out the mix up, it was obvious that they just moved the tacos around in the containers to how they needed to be to begin with...which is completely not acceptable after I did my due diligence to make sure he understood the seriousness of not cross contaminating the orders. If you have any kind of allergy or dietary restrictions do not eat here. They obviously just don't...
Read moreThis little restaurant is over 10 miles away from where I live. In spite of this, I eat Mexican food here more often than anywhere else. The drinks are mediocre at best, don't come here for the Margaritas. The dining area is small, don't come here if you aren't willing to get a little cozy. The food here is simply excellent! The service is also consistently great. The restaurant is family owned and operated, and this shows in the pride that the waitstaff takes in serving their customers. You never know when you walk in if this place is going to be packed, or if you will be the only one, but the food is the same either way, as is the service. This would have been a 5-star review if the Margaritas were either better, or cheaper. I would gladly pay 3 dollars for...
