This Review is based on the Atmosphere. I have been going to Craft's on Church Street ever since it was Miss Dots. I have always enjoyed the Atmosphere of dining in and the Food is consistently Very Good! Bonus, the Employees are so Friendly! In retrospect to dining in, today was a stark contrast to all of the times I have visited Craft's on Church Street. They were playing from SiriusXM Music the Pearl Jam Radio Channel. The music was so loud and the content to the songs were, in my opinion, highly inappropriate for an establishment that serves the very young to the old. For example, I do not know the name of the song but there was a song where the "F Word" was sung throughout its entirety. I have always considered this a Family Style Environment Restaurant where anyone can go, relax and enjoy a nice meal. The music that is normally played is a Soft Rock style and the volume would be high enough to hear a song but not so loud where you couldn't engage in a conversation with someone. The music today was so loud one would need to yell to speak to another person. I really do Love this establishment and I know they are under New Management but I hope this is not going to be the "Norm" in the music choice and volume. It would make sense if this was a Night Club where it is Adults Only present but when Children are present, especially, the music should be appropriate...
Read moreWater Water Chicken Dinner | I had a strange experience when my family and I ate at Craft on Saturday, July 16, 2022. After we ordered and paid, (chicken wrap, kale wrap, burger, Dots dip and three sodas), I requested an extra cup. I intended to use the cup for soda, so we would not need to return for refills so often. We went outside to sit and wait for our food. Before we could take out seats, the manager came out and asked if I asked for a “water” cup. I responded that I asked for an extra cup for the reasons explained above and that we purchased three sodas. He proceeded to rudely explain that water cups are only for water, and the restaurant has a limited supply and that in the future, I need to follow the rules. I responded that it would not be a problem, because I would never return. It was bizarre and extremely RUDE! One more note, the only food I would recommend is the Dots dip. The rest of the menu is mediocre at best. During a previous visit, I found not one but four hairs in my chicken tenders. I have never ordered chicken again. Skip Craft’s and head to Hattie’ B’s for pimento macaroni and cheese and the best chicken wings and...
Read moreI was utterly disappointed as this place is actually just awful. After being scowled at by the staff, I was made to wait 30 minutes for bland tasteless chicken and sides I'm fairly certain we're incorrectly cooked and from a pouch. Boasting to be southern inspired, I should've known something would be wrong when rather than collard greens the sides included feta. Still I was looking forward to fried chicken based on the glowing reviews on their Google page. I am now fairly sure though that those reviews were composed almost entirely of bots and paid actors. Finally I get my chicken, and it was bland, dry, and overpriced. KFC claims to use seven herbs and spices; with Craft's chicken I would've been happy to gotten to two. All i could taste from it was salt and disappointment. My side of rice and gravy was undercooked, bland, and so bad we passed it around the table so everyone could try it and scowl. I couldn't even wash my hands of this place on the way out as there wasn't any soap or paper towels in the bathroom. I will not be returning and will suggest to you...
