First I should say I am not a Starbucks patron, I got a gift card from work. This is also a brand new location. They were mildly busy inside when I arrived, about 6 people.
As soon as the lady came to the register the 1st thing she said was she was the only person making drinks and running the register, there will be a long wait. 3 other girls were working besides her so I found that odd. Now even more anxious to use the gift card and be done, I ordered a Carmel Latte and 2 cake pops, after looking it up on Google it was said to be a sweeter drink than the Carmel Macchiato I had the previous year, also from a gift card. I found a seat and waited, after realizing they didn't take my name, they were calling orders out by what you ordered.
About 15-20mins or so later I hear Carmel Latte called, but I hesitate because the cake pops aren't there. I wait another 3 or 4 mins before going to get the drink, then ask another girl working about the cake pops. She blankly stares at me and says, they'll be out soon... I have never ordered at a place where they give you your order in pieces, but ok.
So another 2-3 mins pass and a different girl comes from the back holding the little cake pop bags, by now they are crowded as the high schoolers have flooded the place. Pre adult bodies consuming caffeine at an alarming rate, moving without looking or thinking are everywhere! I hear her call out one of the cake pop flavors I ordered and I rapprochement the counter, just as I'm about to ask about the 2nd, 2 teenage girls walk up and the 1st 3 packs of cake pops are gone... then the clerk girl looks at me and nonchalantly hands me the last 2.
I take them and run!!! That was the moment my 43yr old self felt old and out of place. The lack of appropriate customer service or communication, bodies moving and bumping everywhere over SOME COFFEE that tasted like burnt coffee bean sugar water. It WASN'T EVEN GOOD! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Again let me remind you, I am not a Starbucks patron, I am lost to the ways of their world. I may have been the only one that didn't enjoy this experience and that's ok. I won't go back to save myself the anxiety unless I get another gift card 😮💨.
Oh yea, the cake pops were sweet and gooey, they were just okay but definitely the best thing about this visit. I now return to my world of drinking water and tea, I'll leave the more sophisticated stuff...
Read moreATTENTION! THIS STARBUCKS IS THE TRUE DEFINITION OF CUSTOMER SERVICE! THOMAS IS THE GOAT! Went to this Starbucks today, for a coupon where any drink is $3. Cause of this, the place was packed, and orders were going left right and center. Came at around 5:35 PM and ordered a Summer Lemonade Berry Refresher. Paid with the app, and waited.
About 20 minutes later, my order came. Looked like the drink so quickly got in the car because class started at 6. On the way back, I noticed it looked weird and tasted weird too. Looked at the order, and they gave me a Summer Skies Refresher. At this point, I was pretty pissed because I don't visit Starbucks often, and this was the first day of school, and I realllly looked forward to it. Called them on the phone before the class started, and they said that either I get a refund or I can get the correct drink.
Chose the second option, and came back and hour and a half later to pick it up. The barista (Thomas) was suuuuper nice, apologized a lot, and gave me the correct drink, as a LARGE size. I know that this is what they are supposed to do, but many places simply don't care. Either they talk rudely on the phone, or don't even apologize. The way Starbucks handled the situation is amazing.
Now things like these happen. Like I said, super busy day, and the names of the drinks are very similar. But for someone who doesn't write a lot of reviews, thank you Starbucks. Thomas...
Read moreStopped through while traveling to refuel and then go order a drink, and to check out the development of Mountain House. So, I ordered and when we got to the window, the young girl who was holding my drink, and scanned my phone. She handed me the drink, and when I politely requested a water, she attempted to scold me that I should have ordered it at the speaker. I just replied "nevermind", and we left. I mean really, it was just a water. I also looked back and noticed that there was no one in line behind us, so that was ridiculous AND laziness on her part, being that that particular location didn't look very busy. Was it because I only paid $5.95? Or because I only ordered one drink? I'm guessing that she hasn't learned that customer service goes a long way. She has a lot of life learning to go with tht kinda behavior, lol. Also, isn't good customer service how they earn tips too? That probably would have helped her out if she would've been nice. This kind of experience definitely makes a person rethink where they will patronize. The manager definitely should retrain her on the customer service part, just saying. That's a huge booo to the Mountain House/Byron store, and I'll definitely be spread that...
