Hello,
I am a regular customer who works in the Bay Area, and I often visit gas stations and Starbucks locations to order coffee and occasionally request a small tea pot of extra hot water to make tea. Most of the time, I have never had any issue with this. The staff at other locations are usually kind and helpful.

I’m not sure if this is a store-specific policy or a new rule, but I wanted to share my experience in case there is a misunderstanding or inconsistency in how customers are treated across stores in the Bay Area.
