Graeter's Ice Cream — Restaurant in Mt. Lebanon

Graters ice cream came highly recommended and there are not any in our home state of Michigan, so we set our sails on visiting your store. Six of us arrived at the Wexford location at approximately 08:30 PM. The second we opened the door we could see the floor was freshly mopped yet the smell inside the store was horrid!!! Visually the store looked very clean yet the smell was gut wrenching. All of us held our noses. We walked through the smell which seemed to be directly linked to the mopped section of the store. We ordered our ice cream without incident and chose to eat our ice cream outside do to the wretched smell. The ice cream was delicious but the smell nearly ruined the entire experience. I asked them for a little amount of syrup because one of the soda ice cream tasted horrible, and my kid didn't like it, but they wanted to charge me for a new one. Very unfriendly action despite of I am a regular customer for years. They don't know how to satisfy their customers, a little bit of syrup wouldn't cost them much. Plus in my previous visit one of the workers sneezed on his palm and did not wash his hand and kept handling my ice cream until I alerted the female manager to the situation and she asked him to wash his hand, I did not want to leave my feedback that day because I was nice but they do not deserve customers to be nice to them. All you need to know is this is the best ice cream you will ever eat. I am a Cincinnati native, I grew up with graeters as the bar and truly nothing lives up to it. I was so happy when I heard graeters was coming to the south hills. Chip Wheelies were a staple in my pregnancy cravings with my 3rd baby - I still have a few in my freezer. You can’t go wrong with whatever flavor you choose but I love peach when they have it in the summer and toffee chip is my #1 choice from their general list.
