Recently running behind and needed to order something quick for dinner for the family. Placed a $90 order online, paid online, received my confirmation that it would be ready in about 35 minutes, went to pick it up...
This place was HORRIBLE! Customers all around complaining about their orders and such, NOT the place to be. Figured I'd just grab the order and go - BOY WAS I WRONG!!
According to the person at the counter, there was no record of my order. Had to show a confirmation and that it had already been paid for and wait for my order to be literally thrown together.
Everyone was told their online orders were not received in order to be made. At that, noone knew what was supposed to be included in their combo meals, noone understood how to do anything, noone spoke English well enough to even communicate very well at all.
Noone there knew how to process any sort of a refund to a credit card, so I HAD to wait for the food to be prepared because I already paid for it! After about 40 minutes (due to all the commotion with all the other customers), finally got this JOKE of an order together.
NOTHING I ordered was correct. The chicken was not cooked fully, didn't get the sides I ordered, chicken strips were DRY AF and just disgusting.
I've been going here for quite some time and there's always something wrong with even a small order - I should've known better.
I will say though, I complained to corporate and requested at keast a partial refund because I didn't get half of what I paid for and their office sent me a FULL refund for my order (which i do greatly appreciate).
Unfortunately, I won't go back and I'd DEFINITELY never use the app again to irder anything. Too many screw-ups even on little orders and THIS one was just the end for me.
Damn, I'm running out of places to even order from anymore. QUALITY and ACCURACY matter, especially with the prices of everything lately- why do so many places...
Read moreWorst customer experience!! I placed an order online for delivery through door dash but via Popeye's website..the driver shows up with one of the three drinks I paid for..she states I have to call door dash because they are unable to see the order from Popeye's..they just pick it up..i say well funny there is a stapled receipt to the bag that shows two cokes and you don't have them..maybe you should look at the receipt before you leave the restaurant..but OK I'll call door dash..speak to them, they place me on hold for ten mins while calling the store and say since I ordered in Popeye's website I will have to call them directly...sigh..i call Popeye's and the man answers and is basically yelling at me that it's not their fault..the drivers are in a hurry and don't wait..oh and he can't refund me but if I give him my number he will give me something free when I come back or I should drive there now for my drinks..wth kind of customer service is this!?! I said door dash just called someone at your store while I was on hold and now you're telling me you can't refund me..then tells me door dash never called there and this is the first I'm hearing of this..ok so now door dash is lying and they never spoke to anyone at your store?!? I love when no one wants to take responsibility for mistakes..i get it no one is perfect but why can't I get an OK I'm sorry this happened to you and here is your money back? Covid has killed more than just people...all this time wasted for a $5.58 refund. Thanks but no thanks for yelling at me on the phone about other people's mistakes..have...
Read moreI did not have the best experience, I went 8/26/18 to see if they were open yet and as soon as I seen they were busy as ever I got filled with excitement. Eager to get my food I made my way to the drive through which had a sign saying open 8/27. Being that the sign was only on the drive thru menu I parked my car and made my way to the crowded restaurant. Everybody inside seemed to be enjoying the best chicken in town. When I approached the door and attempted to enter I realized it was locked. I searched for signs to see if the restaurant had closed early and perhaps guests were finishing up, or if I needed to go to another entrance. No signs on the doors stated anything, confused I stood there while employees and guests laughed because I couldn't get in. Frustrated and embarrassed I left and planned to return later when I returned a guest exiting the store informed it was only for employees and their family. I have no issue with the soft opening for employees and their family. But at least have signs up stating what is going on or hire employee that are courteous enough to open the door and explain the situation and invite me back. As of right now Popeye's in Reading, Pa gives me a bad taste based off that...
