From first impressions, the idea of a drive-thru hibachi and sushi place could go either way. We saw this place in passing when visiting a buffet across the street from it. Gotta' say, skip the gastrointestinal onslaught that is Jumbo Fatarse Chinese Buffet (or whatever they call it) and go to Haiku instead. Your buffet-common options will definitely be diminished, but the choices of either sushi, teriyaki, hibachi combinations (w/rice or noodles) will satisfy anyone simply looking for the convenience of Panda Express but with cleaner, tastier food and a helluva lot less explosive diarrhea. Of the four of our meals, the chicken katsu looked and tasted excellent. The sushi was grocery-store-level slapdash in presentation (only one person was rolling up, so that's understandable) BUT VERY TASTY. The shrimp and salmon in two of the hibachi offerings were the freshest and least rubbery I've had in awhile, but the white meat chicken also used in mine toughened up the same as it usually does anywhere - hibachi grill or not. Better if they'd stuck with dark meat, but it was still edible. The fried dumplings were lovely AND THEY ACTUALLY HAD FLAVOR. Not the pasty pastry with a small ball of unidentifiable meat-like substance inside. The crispy fried-pasta-like gyoza you know and love.
Here's one more good thing: party of four at a sushi restaurant price $64.
There's soft drinks, Ramune bottles, ice cream in both fried and mochi forms, and they cater larger sushi platters for reasonable prices.
Again, better than food court without the fakery of the buffets and much less likely to be alley cat and sea bird with greasy rice.
You wallet, stomach, and toilet will thank...

Read moreFor those seeking delicious, high-quality, and affordable sushi, I highly recommend this establishment. I have been a patron for over six years, initially introduced by my mother during my childhood, and now as a young adult, I visit frequently.
The staff is consistently welcoming, kind, and helpful. The food is of exceptional quality; I particularly enjoy their specialty and regular rolls. Even for those who may not typically enjoy raw fish, I am confident that their spicy tuna will change your mind. I am also excited to try the boba additions to the menu on my next visit.
My top recommendations include the California roll with eel sauce and spicy mayo, shrimp tempura roll, spicy tuna roll, volcano roll, and at the top of the pyramid, the hurricane roll. The establishment is clean, and the cooks and owners are commendable. Do not hesitate to make the trip, as it’s 100% worth it. I’ll remember to add pictures next time, I unfortunately never take any because the food is gone before the idea...
