I never thought that I would write this review for an establishment I've frequented on several occasions for the past several months. Food is great, beer is good and the service is excellent - but only until 5pm when the bartender shift change comes in.
Katie, a young bartender with an extremely, seemingly personal, non-instigated negative attitude towards me, is the absolute worst bartender and server I've ever encountered in all of the 40 years I've been going to bars / taverns that serve food across the country.
Over a month ago, I came in after a long day at work on a hot day when I didn't want to cook at home. I ordered 2 beers and some food. For some odd reason, my food order was not entered from the daytime very sweet, upbeat lady that tends bar during the day. It takes me a bit longer to drink beer than most people, and I was socializing with new friends before I realized that my food order wasn't entered. So, I asked Katie to check on my order with my friend as a witness to my order. Katie said that there was no order for my food and refused to correct it in any way, shape or form. I finished my 2nd beer, only tipped a dollar, and left with a very uncomfortable feeling.
After a month, I came in again with Katie behind the bar. I had a beer, spoke to my friend a bit and ordered food. Katie's attitude was extremely cold, unfriendly, and - worst of all - when my order came, she literally "threw" it at me and walked away, no smile, nothing. I felt threatened. It was the most extremely rude service I've encountered in over 20 years from anywhere. That prompted me to attempt to explain to the manager on duty what had occurred. Because I live with medical conditions and have dealt with bulling and harassment from bar patrons, bartenders and people, in general, many times in my 54 years of life, I abruptly left when I felt a panic attack coming on so that I would not disturb other customers.
I told my friend that I would never come here again or bring my uncle here again. I left without paying for my 2 beers and food. The only reason why this review is not on Yelp is because it is extremely difficult to remove a review from Yelp. I used to be a resident of Mukwonago. I work at a healthcare facility in Mukwonago. I am giving this establishment a chance to...
Read moreIf you’re looking for the best spot in Mukwonago, look no further than Boneyard Pub & Grille—our absolute go-to for over five years now. Every Thursday night, like clockwork, we show up for their boneless wings, and let me tell you, they never disappoint. The flavors, the crispiness, the way they somehow manage to be juicy and perfectly seasoned every time—it’s next level.
But what really keeps us coming back, beyond the incredible food, is the people. Jamie? She’s an absolute rockstar. From the very first time we walked in, she made us feel like family. Always welcoming, attentive, and just genuinely kind, she has a way of making every visit special. Whether it’s remembering our usual orders or just making sure we’re having a great time, Jamie goes above and beyond every single time. And she’s not alone—the entire staff at Boneyard is phenomenal.
There’s just something about this place that makes it feel like home. The atmosphere is comfortable and fun, the service is top-tier, and the food? Consistently amazing. Whether we’re coming in after a long day or just looking for a good meal with good people, Boneyard never lets us down.
Five years in, and we’re still just as excited for our Thursday night boneless wing tradition as we were on day one. That says everything. If you haven’t been yet—you’re seriously...
Read moreExperience last night was awful! The wait was quite long for our meals. These arrived before our appetizer that was ordered with our drinks. Ordered a cowboy burger which arrived without the stack of crispy onions on top. Waited several minutes to flag down our waitress to notify about the missing onions and ask about our appetizer. Waited another 20 minutes for the appetizer and onions to arrive. Onions were sauteed not crispy haystack style that they were supposed to be. By this time my husband had finished his entire meal and my burger was cold. Assembled my burger and it was hard as a rock on outside and bone dry in the inside. Took 3 bites and couldn't stomach the rest. $57.00 bill to eat a small bowl of mashed potatoes and a salad! I work hard and my husband and I have to find a babysitter for our 2 children to enjoy a night out together. This was a gross waste of money and babysitter for us. Our waitress was polite and apologetic but she failed to do her job and improve the situation at each turn. It was obvious we were unsatisfied and were compensated in no way. Could have spent time with the husband flushing our money down the toilet together for the...
