Fazoli's — Restaurant in Muncie

I took the day off of work on May 2, 2024 to take my client and great friend out for a day of celebrating, dining, having fun, and pampering for her "80th" birthday. After a pedicure and a hair wash, cut, and style she was able to choose anywhere out of Muncie, Indiana and its surrounding areas to dine at and she chose Fazoli's. My friend chose the loaded spaghetti and a side salad with french dressing and a large rootbeer. I thought that sounded great but, I left the meatballs and sausage out of my loaded spaghetti. The servings were huge and with unlimited breadsticks, we had more than our share. While placing our order, I'd asked if the birthday girl would receive anything for her special 80th birthday and the employee responded "Sadly, no" but, she asked what dessert she would buy and my friend resounded with the "triple chocolate cheesecake". A few minutes after sitting at our desired table, the employee came out with the cheesecake and she'd even written "80" in chocolate syrup on the dessert plate. I have to agree with Jason down below. I thought it was just me but I guess not. Italian food is my comfort food. I have always loved Fazoli's but here recently my past 4 trips have not been pleasant. I can understand wait times, that's just expected, but when they say an oven breaks down or all of their headsets stop working?? That just seems like poor management. My friend was stuck in their drive thru for an hour folks!! No one bothered to come out and tell her. The last salad I ordered was droopy and brown, I had to throw it away. That alone was 8 dollars!! It's like throwing money away!! It's just disappointing because I live like 30 minutes away, I can't just turn right around lol. And why check a salad, I didn't think I would have had to check the quality of a salad??!! I also ordered a fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. The chicken was just non edible. I feel they changed it somehow, I swore it used to be just grilled. Now it's just hard and very salty. I hope you really take these comments to heart whomever reads this because I still want to...

We have been to this restaurant (Muncie) many times over the years, but seems to have gone downhill as of recent. We visited on July 17 around 4:30, and we were the only guests. When we went to the counter, a gentleman was opening change in the cash register, and seemingly just ignored us while we stood there waiting. After 2 or 3 minutes, he just walked away without any greeting. Finally another girl came and took our order. She was no ray of sunshine either. We simply would like to be greeted with a smiling face. When our food was brought to our table, she said nothing, just put the food down and walked away. I later went back to the counter to get another breadstick, and again was totally ignored by the same girl, who finally turned and went in to the back room. We left in disgust. Restaurant appears dirty, to the point that you really don’t want to touch anything. Rest rooms are always dirty. Spaghetti was mushy/clumpy.
