Pizza King — Restaurant in Muncie

The pizza was great and cooked perfect! However, the service SUCKED! WORST WAITRESS I'VE EVER HAD ACTUALLY. SHE NEVER ASKED IF WE NEEDED ANYTHING, WE had to ask for napkins, refills, straws, and the to-go box OURSELVES because she literally only came to our table TWICE the entire HOUR PLUS we were there, and was EXTREMELY RUDE BOTH TIMES! Once to deliver drinks, then the food, AND THAT'S IT! You order on the phone there, so she didn't even have to remember anything, and it could've been an EASY 20 bucks+ for her, if she had AT LEAST TRIED! And it wasn't like she was busy in the back doing something important! We could SEE her just standing there the whole time, less than 10 feet away from us, LEANING ON THE BUFFET doing nothing! Which was a HUGE F-up for her, because I'm an extremely generous tipper(having been a waitress myself YEARS AGO)! I mean like 30% or more... IF YOU DO YOUR JOB! Which is NOT THAT COMPLICATED. ESPECIALLY WHEN ALL OF THE CUSTOMERS IN THE ENTIRE PLACE WERE ALL SITTING AT MY TABLE &THERE WERE ONLY 3 OF US!!! If you're kind& courteous, keep our drinks full, make sure we have napkins straws etc, and just ask once or twice if we need anything else once we have our food, i'd make it well worth the effort.... But what can you do? Some people are just rude! But at LEAST the food was good! I mean, it's Pizza King, it's GONNA BE GOOD, NO MATTER WHO serves it! While the pricing has continually gone up “which is expected with the current political climate” the amount of food and quality has gone down, I have been a lifelong avid consumer and customer of pizza king this last experience has made me feel like sharing the experience the manager on duty seems laxidazical and like she doesn’t want to be there and my order came out wrong, after she took my order, I informed my waitress that since they would have to throw the mismade item out that I would either take it home or purchase it at a discount so it wouldn’t be wasted, my waitress told me the manager said she couldn’t discount the item and that she wasn’t allowed to give it to me. At which point I told her to just wrap it up and charge me full price because I didn’t want to waste it and she walked back to the kitchen and laughed to her manager “ I told you so “ which was really aggravating and rude. Had a lovely dinner here a few weeks ago. I really appreciate how walking in feels like entering a vaguely Italian grandmother’s kitchen and dining room, with dark tiles and wood everywhere, and bursts of colors from the beautiful lampshades above each table, and plants sprouting in corners. It’s a very homey atmosphere, missing only gentle music, and is a large improvement to the increasingly sterile restaurants that are trendy these days. The lighting, once the sun is down, is dim but not uncomfortable, and one can still see one’s menu and dinner companions. Everything feels cozy and charming.

This is a place where one can breathe and enjoy a nice meal alone or with others.

In addition, the staff were all kind and prompt. The evening my pal and I went was not busy, and it was a lovely time.

As for the food, we decided to try a ranch-tomato sauce mix on our pizza, which was delicious and how I plan to order from Pizza Kings from now on. The ranch lends a nice, mild flavoring that compliments the tomato sauce well.
