Today I visited the 346 N Lake St location in Mundelein, IL. My order was taken by cashier Brittany G. I asked for decaf coffee. I had a survey coupon for a free donut. She did not know how to use it. When I thanked her at the window as she gave me the items, she said nothing both times I thanked her. Not even a "have a good night". When I arrived home I checked to see if my coffee was marked "decaf" on the cup or receipt. It was not marked on the cup and the receipt indicated "original blend". I am 8 months pregnant and caffeine makes me sick. The coffee is giving me a sick feeling so I called the store to ask a question about coding on the receipt to see if the drink was made incorrectly or not. The person who answered was Brittany G., and she stated she was the only person at the store when I asked for a manager or shift supervisor. She had a serious attitude from the moment she answered the phone, not even using a proper greeting, but instead saying "what can I get for you". She did not even indicate that she was answering the Dunkin Donuts phone. When I explained my situation about the decaf, she said that sometimes they press the wrong buttons on the drinks so there was no way of knowing if it was the right drink. She did not apologize. She offered no solutions. I told her she was not being helpful. She chuckled, said "sorry you think I'm not helpful" with a sarcastic attitude, and hung up on me. I go to this Dunkin Donuts at least 2-3 times a week as I live right up the street. I will be taking my business elsewhere. This person is so bad at customer service I would never, ever put her at a window or counter. She will drive away all your regulars. I am so upset about my experience and the way I was treated! On top of that, there were only two types of donuts left. This whole experience was so bad it was...

Read moreI usually love coming to Dunkin’, but this visit was a bit disappointing. I ordered an egg and cheese on an English muffin, and even confirmed it a few times just to be sure. Unfortunately, when I got home, it turned out to be a bagel instead. Honest mistakes happen, and I totally understand that.
When I returned to the store to let them know, I was hoping for a little empathy.. especially since I was now running late for work. I asked if store credit might be possible, but instead, I was silently handed a doughnut (which I don’t eat). I politely asked again if there was anything they could offer, and the only response I received was a quick “no, have a good one.”
I know the team works hard and mornings can be hectic, but a little warmth and understanding go a long way. I hope next time the experience matches the usual...
