Cheese-less cheeseburger, again…
It is really sad that it cost $1.99+ tax for a regular cheeseburger at McDonald’s. What’s even worse is this was my “cheeseburger” with extra ketchup extra onion. Please note, NO CHEESE, no pickle and barely any ketchup, mustard or any other toppings (besides a small pile of onion in one spot.) This is a regular occurrence at this McDonald’s. We even had a big Mac from this location, without cheese. And several times when I’ve ordered something for everyone at home, we get home and again, I’m paying for a cheeseburger and they’re all plain burgers. I just don’t get it if you try to call, you’re never gonna reach someone they do not answer the phone at this location.
Unfortunately, when in a hurry, logistically this is the place I stop (regardless of the poor quality.) This time I pulled over in the parking lot to eat so decided when I took my first bite it was so pitiful, and I was still there, I went back through the drive-through. The person at the drive-through said to pull forward to the second window and they would have it remade. But, when I did so, no one was aware of what I talking about. So they had me pull up, park and wait. Eventually, they brought out a new cheeseburger, but again, barely any ketchup, no pickle, and as usual the bun was super dry, and the burger was burnt. I gave up at that point and just left. Again, a basic cheeseburger shouldn’t be this hard to get correct. I wish we had other choices near where we live (when we are going to indulge in fast food…) Or, McDonald’s could put the slightest bit of effort into providing the food that...
Read moreMy issue tonight was an experience with the pricing. I went inside and used the self service kiosk. On screen the price for a large drink was $1.49. I selected the button to to finish my transaction, the screen blipped, then it went to a total page that said my total was a $1.96. I was not given a receipt. I went to the counter and asked them for my receipt. All they could give me was a receipt with a QR code on it. The young girl explained to me the 50 cents difference was the tax. Tennessee's tax rate is high, but not that high. The young lady said something to the manager who said that's what it cost and walked away.
I asked her to come over and speak with me and ask her how the price went up 50 cents. She explained that's what it cost with the tax. I tried to make her understand that would be a 33% tax rate and she finally tried to prove me wrong by showing me her screen behind the counter. It also showed that a large drink was a $1.49 but then the total price was a $1.96. She printed me a receipt which shows the actual price is a $1.79.
About a month or so ago, Large drinks went from a dollar plus tax to a total of a $1.79. Now I'm being charged a $1.96. What's going on?
Why did the kiosk and the register show a drink as a $1.49 but then print out as...
Read moreI do not usually write reviews but I feel I need to write one about this location. I live a fairly short distance from this Mcdonald's at the corner of Thompson lane and Memorial Lane. We have eaten here many times. They were pretty typical at first, but have since fell drastically over time. Without exaggeration, our order has been wrong about 80% of the time. The fries are usually cold and stale, The employees are very unprofessional and rude, talking to each other about personal things, dancing or arguing instead of serving the customers. To be quite frank, the management team is the first to blame, because this behavior is so common and I have yet to see any action from the management. I suppose they are just as childish. Last night we were in the drive through, pulled up to the speaker, were asked to take our order but were not ready so I said. "just one second please." in a polite way. In return I received a yawning answer of aaoohh oh kaaayyyy. WE were then ready and received no return responses. the other lane ordered then a second car was helped. I then backed out and went to the other store a few miles down the road where we were pleasantly surprised with the service and and food. AVOID...
