Whitt's Barbecue — Restaurant in Murfreesboro

My company chooses to feed my associates during sale weekends, which means I need to feed 40+ people. Barbecue has proven to be a favorite so I have been placing large food order with Whitts for a few years. We usually place our order with the Mt. Juliet location since my store is in Lebanon, but this time my wife was going to pick up the food and bring it to us, so since we live in Murfreesboro we ordered from this location instead. BIG mistake. When my wife got the order to my store, I asked her where the buns were and she informed me they did not give her any. I contacted the store right away and they told me that buns are not part of our order and we need to order them if we want them. I asked them how they expected people to eat 30lbs of meat without buns, and I was very rudely informed that was not their problem. When I informed them that everytime I order from the Mt. Juliet there are always buns sent with the order, they very quickly informed me that the Murfreesboro and the Shelbyville locations are not part of the Nashville group so they don't have to act the same. I asked why they wouldn't ask someone placing such a large order of meat if they wanted to purchase buns as well and again was rudely told it's not on them to ask. REALLY??? When I tried to ask if they were able to help out at all they said no and hung up. I wasn't asking for anything free, I just needed buns. I called the Mt. Juliet location I usually use and they were extremely helpful and sold us the buns without a problem. I will definitely NOT be using the Murfreesboro...

We ordered catering for our wedding this past Saturday from whitts. We ordered enough pulled pork, pulled chicken, buns, green beans, Mac and cheese and baked beans for all of our guest. BUT they never delivered the buns! Who does that for a wedding? This was very unprofessional. Then they offered to bring them after our guest had ate bbq with NO BREAD. Also not to mention that they sat some of our food on the GROUND. I do not recommend this place at all for an event. This is unfortunately the worst whitts, every time my family and I have gone they get the order wrong, no straws with drinks and the last time I gave it a try again since it had been a while, the kid was so high I'm not sure if he even knew he was at work, had to repeat my order 3times, ask for straws and condiments that I had previously asked for with the order...It's so disappointing because Whitts has been slowly falling off but it's such good food and with the ones that are left you would think would have more...
