Small Town Scoop — Restaurant in Murphysboro

We went for lunch today to try their new menu. My husband had the Reuben which he said was the best he had ever had. I had the brie and blackberry panini. It was brie with bacon and blackberry jam toasted to perfection. Both were served with a generous helping of kettle chips, and we enjoyed a scoop of ice cream for dessert. I had the cherry cheesecake flavor which was amazing, and the hubs had lemon cheesecake. We will definitely be back. The place is cute and family friendly, and has more seating than it appears from outside. We will definitely be going back....

We were on a family outing and decided to surprise our kids with some ice cream. Googled “ice cream near me” and this place popped up. Looked pretty awesome and different so we decided it was worth the extra drive.

It was beyond worth it. The flavor options were amazing and delicious, and the service and atmosphere was exceptional. The owner was so friendly, our portion sizes and the price was unbelievable for what my family actually got. My kids were sooo excited and the whole experience was fantastic. If I could give it less than one star I would. The health department needs to check out this place immediately! The owners and staff REFUSE to wear the protective measures to keep the food and customers safe. Especially given the fact that we are in a global pandemic, the refusal to wear masks, especially in a business serving food, shows an utter disregard for the heath and safety of the community.
