Whiffle Boy's Pizza — Restaurant in Murphysboro

One thing is certain of wiffle boys always, you are always going to be guaranteed delicious food. Upon arrival we walk in and are greeted happily by one of the owners, Tim. Not only did he greet us with a smile (even though he was wearing his mask we could tell he was genuinely happy to greet us), But he allowed us to try some of the beers on tap, take our order, and then talk about the history of the building with us. When excellent food meets exemplary customer service you get people like me, I'll return customer who gets with a boys at least once every week. I'm not a big fan of Italian beef sandwiches because I don't like a soggy bun, but these Italian beefs are the best I've ever had, It's like the bun doesn't get soft and stays crisp the whole time it's wonderful. I ordered wings, moist delicious wings. They arrived completely dry it wasnt a sauce it was a dry rub. Manager Tim acted as if i was a liar and said the wings are always made dry that way. I explained that the website has a photo of how the wings are supposed to be and it is definitely a sauce. He said there is no picture and I am a liar. Great local pizza place. As good as or better than famous chains and famous big city pizzerias.

They've been going strong for close to 20 years and there's good reason.

Food and service are always phenomenal. A few years back they added a dining area. Really enjoy it but it's more of a basic atmosphere. I guess my only complaint is that the last time we were there, it was quite cold inside. Still, very much enjoyed it.
