My wife isn't an adventurous eater like myself, she didn't want to try any of the local places I knew were good when we were in Murray, KY. She said she was in the mood for Italian. I've eaten at the Pagliai's in Princeton, KY, and assumed the one in Murray was owned by the same people. I still don't know if they are owned by the same people, but I know I liked the one in Princeton quite well, the one in Murray was not good by any standard I hold. In fact, I think I would go to McDonald's before I go to the Pagliai's in Murray again. First of all, the staff was friendly and I don't have any complaints about the service I received, but the food was not good. We were told they had a buffet on the other side of a wall. We both got the buffet without looking at it. There were cheesey bread, a few slices of various pizzas, salad, spaghetti noodles, red sauces with & without meat, a fettuccine alfredo with vegetables in it, and an empty tray with bread crumbs that I assumed had once held parmesan chicken or parmesan shrimp to go with the spaghetti. The Alfredo dish was decent, but nothing to write home about. The pizza was good, but the selection was pathetic. I was told they had more pizza and other items coming out soon. After I finished the first half-full plate, I returned to see what was brought out. There was about 2 fresh pizzas, but of the same variety as the remnants that were left on the buffet previously. The tray that was only bread crumbs before now had food in it... The food was chicken fries, not chicken tenders or small pieces of parmesan chicken, but chicken fries like you would get out of the freezer section at the grocery store. They weren't even high quality chicken fries, Burger King would likely fire someone should they serve chicken fries of this quality. I do not recommend the Pagliai's in Murray and I will not be back. I am willing to try the one in Princeton again because I do recall it being...
Read moreWe went to the restaurant with 10 adults & 5 children ages 1-5. It was for a family gathering and the first since the pandemic started and the first time to meet the 2 1 year old's. We have had numerous birthday parties here in the past and figured the kids could play in the ball pit. A waitress had told my cousin when she walked in that they only had 2 waitresses and service would be slow. This was not an issue for any of us because we were there to eat & socialize with family. There were some other people setting up for a birthday party at the other end of the big room and we sat at the opposite end. One of the girls from that birthday party came and told us that they had reserved the whole room and asked is to leave. As I stated earlier, we have had numerous birthday parties here and there have always been several parties at a time (it's a really big room) and know from past experience that you don't pay for this room or actually "reserve" it. Lou fiance attempted to speak to the manager who refused to speak with her. We left and went elsewhere. This business lost out on food/drink for 10 adults and however many of the 5 kids that would have eaten. We will NEVER step foot in this business again! Just you be clear...this room is huge, has about 40 tables and we were at the complete opposite end from the other group. This business just chose to...
Read moreI met my friends from church and their family. It was one of their dads birthday. We were in the back room, in the children section. I had 2 children and their were 5 other children. They were playing in the ball pit. About 30 minutes in, the owner comes out and yells at the children, at the top of his lungs. I was STUNNED. We were 5 feet, if not closer, away!!! He could have professionally came to us and asked us to get the children out. We had just had an emotional Sunday morning service. Not family oriented at all!!! Fabian, one of the cooks, was amazing. Other than that, I was not happy, especially on my very first visit!!!! Not family oriented. I went and found the owner and told him that today was Sunday and that he should have spoken with the parents, he proceeded to yell at me, a woman!!!!! Please do not go here!!! We should not, especially women, be supporting an establishment such as this!!!! I never give bad reviews!!! He does not deserve to be open. To 1. Yell at kids and 2. Yell at a woman!!! God is watching!!!! Also added tip automatically to my check at 10.53 tip that was not earned by our server, and that’s coming from a woman who served from 17 to 25 paying my way...
