I came to this location to get a drink before they close at 6pm, pulled up to a blocked entrance, and then an employee came out and I asked if they were closed. He said "we close at 6pm" and it was 5:45pm. I said "I'm here before you close, I'm going through the line" and he responded that they are short staffed, and with a lie that their system stops taking orders at 6pm. I come here often (daily) and this put a bad taste in my mouth. Some better ways to handle this could have been to write an explanation about reason for closing on the sign blocking the entrance, especially considering it's an unsafe location to be backing out into traffic. The employee could have stood there to explain to each customer who pulled up after me (I counted at least 9 after me) rather than a note. I get that the teenagers want to leave early to enjoy Halloween (during a pandemic though? Doesn't seem like it should be a top priority, but maybe that's just me)
This isn't my first upset with this location either. Early on in the pandemic employees were handing me the iPad to touch and suggesting I...
Read moreHonestly, I LOVE Swig and I love getting it multiple times a week. Absolutely no complaints about their workers or their menu, the quality is definite there. HOWEVER, I went today with my mother who is a diabetic. I asked for 2 founder drinks, one with diet/sugar-free for my mother, and one with regular soda for myself. I was insistent that one would be sugar free, while the other would be regular. When given the drinks, they assured me that X soda was diet, while Y soda was regular. My mother started drinking her soda and noticed something tasted off. She started to feel sick shortly after. We checked the labels at the bottom (which we didn't know were there before, i'll admit) and noticed that the worker handed us the wrong drinks. Although yes, we should have made sure with the label from the beginning, I had asked the worker multiple times is X soda was diet and Y soda was regular, so we figured we were safe since she kept reiterating. I'm disappointed on their behalf, truly. I'll still keep going, but I'm going to bring sugar free testing strips to ensure that they no longer give me the...
Read moreWow, so, this is purely just a place to get sodas, but they are unique, fruity, sweet and interesting sodas.
The premise behind Swig is to take regular soda, like Coke, Sprite, Dr. Pepper, and Mountain Dew, and add fruit flavorings, creams, and real fruit to create delicious and intensely sweet drinks.
This place succeeds pretty well at this endeavor. I got the Candy Girl. I almost forgot what it was when I was looking at the menu online just now since there are so many different options.
I got the sugar free syrup and Diet Mountain Dew, and honestly this drink was pretty bomb. I would definitely classify this as a top five summer beverage. It was tropical, light, crisp and just fizzy enough. I could have put on my shades and sat on a beach and been in soda heaven pretty much.
My siblings each got different drinks -- I think the DDD and the Raspberry Dream. Both good, but very, very sweet. The fruit on the bottom of the drinks is a welcome addition and discovery once you're finished drinking the soda.
Would definitely come back for a...
