Mohammed is very nice guy and he works very hard he likes to flirt 😂 while he Cooks and talks to you friendly. it makes you feel comfortable. He got the name Leena from his daughter and my daughter's worked in Oakland and that's how I met Leena restaurant when they were there and I never had a gyro and his rice so good in my life. He has things that I really love, but hate to make it at home like babaganoush, falafels spinach rolls baklava tabali salads. He has this rice and he puts this hot pepper sauce in the middle of it it is home-grown peppers and they're awesome!! I always try to get extra. I just love all the food there. I can understand why his prices went up because the food went up, well hopefully the prices will go down a little bit more. Things are getting a little bit back to normal alright but I would go and give him a try.Tell him Bunni sent you. he is working hard so hard to keep his children in college and his wife to the help her with what she needs and she helps him and I think it's wonderful family thing. I think if I had a restaurant I would name it after all 8 of my children( RIP son Francis Jr ) Enjoy the food. There are booth in there if you want to eat in, but I always take it home and eat it because I always order so much that I could eat it for a week 😂 thank-you Leena's restaurant and I hope your truck is doing well in if you're still going over...
Read moreMy wife and I recently indulged in what can only be described as the epitome of gyro perfection at a humble counter restaurant nestled within a gas station. Having sampled gyros across the USA, we can unequivocally assert that none have come close to rivaling the culinary delight we experienced here. Unlike the usual overpowering blend of garlic and spices found elsewhere, this gyro boasted a harmonious medley of flavors that danced on our palates. Accompanying our meal were delectable small Greek salad with tomatoes, crisp cucumbers, chopped lettuce and tangy red onions, all generously adorned with their signature homemade dressing.
Of course, no visit to this establishment would be complete without indulging in their homemade baklava, which transcended all expectations with its unparalleled taste and texture.
Yet, amidst this gastronomic delight, what truly set this experience apart was the warm and genuine hospitality extended to us by the owner. From the moment we stepped foot inside, we were welcomed as if we were long-lost friends, adding an extra layer of warmth and authenticity to our...
Read moreThis place is a best kept secret! Food was absolutely amazing, authentic, and fresh, cooked to order! I was not expecting this considering how small the place is and the location.
They are hiding inside a Marathon gas station, which makes it a little hard to find. It is worth going out of your way to eat there, you will not regret it!
I stopped by with my wife and kids for a bite of some healthy mediterranean food, while we were on a road trip. We were so glad we chose Leena’s! I got to chat with the chef, the guy makes his own Falafel, Hummus, Tabbouli, Baba Ghannouj (smoked eggplant dip), cucumber dip all from scratch, including the yogurt he uses for the dip! He makes his hot sauce salsa with fresh vegetables he grows in his garden! The portion was too generous for the price, and the taste was priceless. I haven’t had such good and authentic Middle Eastern food in a LONG time, and I have been to many nice and fancy restaurants before!
Make sure not to miss his Baklava, it...
