Let me start by saying that I am Mexican and consider to be a great Mexican cook. The restaurant is nice. The restaurant hostess was very nice. She took our name and told us it would be a 50 minute wait. We sat at the bar waiting for our table. Ten minutes went by when finally the bartender acknowledged us and told us he would help us soon. 25 minutes went by and still the bar tender had not help us. Soon after that the hostess texted us to let us know that our table was ready.
There were four of us and neither of our food was good. There were two Fajitas ordered, fish tacos and chicken enchiladas. The fajitas and the tacos were beyond salty and you couldn’t taste anything else. The taste was heavily relied on “Lawry’s salt seasoning. The enchiladas were ok. Salsa didn’t taste home made. The chips “lack” salt and flavor. We had two salsas with it and neither were good. The guacamole was to smashed that it it seem watery with a strong taste of onion dominating every other ingredient. The fry ice cream was actually good. Water is giving to you if you requested and it is not filtered.
We mentioned it to the waitress that the food was salty and they took two of the dishes of the price which was nice but not necessary. We did expect the manager to come over and at least make up the story that they had just open and that was why they were off. He never came by. We won’t go back again.

Read moreStopped in with a friend for the first time this week, and while I was hesitant due to some of the not-so-great reviews, we decided to give it a try.
First plus: free chips and salsa! That’s a must-have for me, and the other place in Murrysville doesn’t offer that. The chips weren’t warm and were a bit thicker than I prefer, but they were still tasty.
I ordered the tacos Al Pastor—something I’d never tried before—and I really enjoyed the flavor. However, the filling was sparse. The menu mentioned pineapple, but mine had none, and each taco had just a small amount of pork and one lonely strand of red onion. The taste was there, but the portion was disappointing.
The tacos came with a very small portion of refried black beans and rice, very small! I was a little unsure about the black beans instead of the usual pinto, but they were actually excellent—great flavor, just wish there had been more.
The ambience was nice and the service was great.
The biggest downside is the value. It was $17 for a very small portion, and $3.50 for a soft drink. I enjoyed the flavors, but it’s hard to justify that price. I'd expect something like what I received to be closer to $12. I probably wouldn’t come back often for that reason, and I definitely wouldn’t bring my husband—he’d be hungry again in 20 minutes.
I give it 4/5 thought because I did...
Read moreOverview: A bill for 2 diners close to that of a fine dining restaurant with the quality essentially around your run in the mill Mexican restaurant, in some ways worse. Yet another place that lures you in with a sleek modern atmosphere while serving up mediocrity on a plate.
The Food: Everything was desperate for salt, and mind you I'm not a big salt person. The food was OK, I have had as good or better at places nearly half the price.
Service: Service was fair. Then again we went when the place was essentially empty so I would hope they would make their rounds. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time. My only real minor critique would be we had to ask for everything. Drink refill, more chips, boxes. Their checkups only consisted of "How's everything?" and it didn't seem to be because of a language barrier.
Atmosphere: It's clean, new, modern, subtle. It won't blow your hair back, but it's nice. Booths were comfortable, tables are good size.
The Price: This is where they utterly lost me. I would rate the price 1/5 if I could. I went for lunch with my wife and we spent, with a 20% tip, just under $100 for: 1 Margarita 1 Order of Queso 1 App (Taquitos) 1 Order of Birria Tacos 1 Tulum Burrito
Absolute insanity. Won't be going back. Again, it wasn't bad food, but it was not...
