Shoals Dragon Chinese Buffet — Restaurant in Muscle Shoals

Absolutely the worst meal I've had in quite awhile. The buffett bar was in urgent need of at the very least, a swipe with a wet soapy dish towel but would .have benefited greatly with an overall cleaning and sanitizing. There was no difference in the food temps. Call me lol crazy but I prefer my Jello cold or at least cool enough so as not to run and my sesame chicken, beef broccoli and wontons to be warmer than my jello. The dining atmosphere was terrible first of all unless I'm at a 4th of July outdoor bbq I do not enjoy having to wipe the sweat away from my forehead in order to keep it from dripping into each bite I tried to take. For goodness sake turn on some air.. We were there over an hour and my table was visited twice after the initial greeting from our waitress. Once to bring the check and a second time to Inquire If we would be paying with cash or card and í'm wondering at this point if I should be paying at all. I've never skipped out on a meal ticket and at 60 years I was actually giving this thought serious consideration. I politely asked the waitress at this time for a (to go) cup so that my husband might carry his iced tea with him and handed her cash for the meal that was mostly left there on the table and against my urging my husband added a 20% gratuity. I then excused myself from the table and headed outside for a smoke leaving my husband to wait on her return with his tea and change. Close to 20 mins later he then exits and you guessed it, with no (to go) cup of iced tea or change from the check. This restaurant has been a favorite of mine for years and tonight with a combination of bad food, atmosphere and service I will never even entertain the idea of a meal here again. I will say this, to anyone who might be deciding if this is a good choice, don't waste your money or your time here. You would be better served eating at one of the many fast food joints nearby or better yet maybe a trip over to a nearby truck stop. At least you get a check total that is somewhat in line with the quality of food and service you would expect with minimal concern over food poisoning and a staff that that most likely will 0make you feel welcome and do the job they are there to do ...

The food was as good as any Chinese Buffet and better than most. I've always been a little turned off by this one server who not only picks a place (a conspicuous at that) to watch you eat if she thinks you're close to finishing your meal. This is a Randolph Tested Experiment, lol, but it works! I was semi ok with that, creeped out but dealing. Until a few nights ago when she upped her game. Instead of leaving my money with tip added in the convenient plastic tray they leave for you on the table, I had a larger than usual and even with great service I wasn't leaving her that kinda, creepy, do me wrong tip. I took my cardboard fortune cookies tucked them in my purse, grabbed my tray with ticket and waddled to the cash register. I handed her my ticket and my bill, she quickly made change, debating whether or not to even give me the change. Yeah, right, Merry Christmas! No. Handed me the receipt and my change. Looked me square in the eyes, put her hand up, palm up, did the ole wriggle fingers at me and said, "money, tip!"... I just left from here. It was 3 of us but only 2 ate. They charged us for 3 and when we asked nicely for a price changed she got smart with us. Then tried to charge 11 more for my 1yr eating 4 noodles off my plate and told me I couldn't share with him. Then when we got the knew ticket she still over charged us so when we went to pay she was trying to rush us out the door and snatched our ticket and money out of my hand. So I asked her not to do that again. Then as we were trying to leave she stood in front of us and demanded a tip.
