Lakeside Emporium — Restaurant in Muskegon

Best sweets collection I've ever seen at a 'candy store'! Service is smiley and happy, just the way I would want a sweet shoppe to be!

The fudge is great.. everybody says their mom/grandma's fudge is the best... but, The Emporium holds a candle to them! Smooth, creamy, flavorful, and holds shape. The peanut butter fudge is too sweet, imo, but I'm wicked super picky abt pb fudge (I like the pb to stand out, and chunky nut pieces are a bonus for me).

• The CHOC OATMEAL NOBAKE fudge, is THE BEST I have ever ever* ever* had!! We requested they make more (you can do that!), and the next day we bought ALLLLLLL they had made!! My husband was raving about it too! And the kiddos too! We have some frozen [a suggestion by an awesome clerk], and are super thrilled to be able to munch on this treat, while being 1000 miles away! So so so good!

I absolutely love this place. Such a huge variety of yummy chocolates and candy and some of the best fudge I've ever had. The staff are some of the friendliest people. Sadly, I can not ever seem to get to the store when they are actually open. Over the last year, I have tried getting my exchange student to the store several times on different days and they are just never open. I even made it a point to go shortly after opening on a Saturday and they were closed. Their days open used to be Thursday, Friday and Saturday due to the pandemic. So last week, my husband tried taking our student and his mom from Europe, on Thursday, only to find they are now only open on Friday and Saturday. BEST candy store and more!!!!!

I recently moved from Muskegon to the Kalamazoo area, and there ISN'T another candy shop that has what Lakeside does.

Lakeside Emporium has that family hospitality that is barely seen. In addition to, they have some of those hard to find candies that my grandparents love sooo much (even though they shouldn't have them). This is a MUST place to visit if you are in the Muskegon area. The flavor's in their truffles are a must to try, along with their chocolate covered pretzels and chocolate covered oreos.

I have tried MANY candy shops, but I still haven't found anything that can beat Lakeside Emporium's taste, and their prices for that wonderful experience.
