Marine Tap Room — Restaurant in Muskegon

Horrible customer service and outright thieves / criminally negligent.

One of the employees behind the bar (an older woman) "lost" or assisted in stealing my credit card which I had given them to start a tab. I tried to pay my bill, and proceeded to witness a disorganized circus that culminated a few halfhearted "I'm sorry"s followed by a rude "here's what you owe me" (yes: they "lost" my credit card and had the nerve to not even offer so much as a discount). She seemed very annoyed that I wanted anyone to look for my card, and that I insisted. At no point was any solution offered by her or by any of the employees at Marine Taproom, and my whole family had to waste an inexcusable portion of my last night in Muskegon before we finally suggested that they call us when/if the card is found. We gave them our phone number, which they tossed aside. Then, I had to spend another hour on the phone with my credit card company explaining the situation. I still haven't heard anything back from Marine Tap Room.

In retrospect, I should have called the police. Avoid this establishment at all costs - it isn't worth risking your credit card, personal information, and valuable...

I gave this bar one star just so I could leave a review and this bar doesn’t even deserve that! The bartender Annie yelled at me “YOU CAN’T BE HERE!” (as she waved her finger at me) as soon as I tried to order and she tried telling me I was barred from the bar (when I’ve only ever been there once). She continued to yell at me, trying to tell me I was from traverse city (which I’ve never even been) and asked for my ID. Once she saw my ID, she realized I wasn’t the person she thought I was and slammed a beer in front of me and said “you can have this one on me because I’m crazy…” Then she was rude to my husband for the remainder of the night. I will NEVER return and NEVER recommend this bar to anyone!! Stay away from this bar unless you want to have a horrible night.

P.s bartender - Sorry ma’am but not all mixed people look the same, please clean your glasses and have your facts straight before yelling at someone and excusing them of being barred! This is the worst service I’ve ever received at a bar...

Inside was quite busy with no social distancing at all. We had to order our food at the bar and then they come and find us outside. We waited way over an hour for a pizza and a sloppy joe. We had to keep going into the crowed bar to order more drinks and then back in to ask where are food was. A server never came to our table. Finally the food came and the pizza was horrible, the sloppy joe was like I got in elementary school in the 70's. Since we were there waiting for over an hour for a pizza we watched people come and go and not 1 table was wiped down and sanitized. They also had a porta potty next to the tables outside. I won't be back and I don't recommend. This possibly could be good for drinks only, but you still have to either sit in the crowded bar or sit outside and still go inside the crowed bar to get drinks. They don't come to your table to...
