We wanted some Asian cuisine and found this place on google. The reviews looked good and the menu looked to have exactly what we wanted. We're in Myrtle Beach on vacation and we needed a break from all the greasy fried foods. We visited in March 2021 on a Monday for lunch around 1PM. They were very busy and even through we placed an order ahead of time online, we were quoted 20 mins but it was closer to 30 mins. We order everything for carryout as we are still uncomfortable with eating inside restaurants. By far, Pho Claire was the most consistent with employees wearing masks and wearing them correctly in Myrtle Beach. The seating for those in the restaurant were also socially distanced. The biggest surprise was how awesome everything was packed for carry out. Never seen such nice carry out containers back home. That includes the awesome plastic disposal soup spoon. Being on vacation we don't travel with our Asian soup spoons. haha.
We ordered: #11 Pho Dac Biet or Pho Deluxe - It was amazing. They packed the broth separate from the meats. Some places will add the meat together with the broth for take out which overcooks the thin sliced beef. All the ingredients were fresh and the broth was fantastic. Our kids scarfed it all down.
#25 Hoanh Thanh Mi Kho - This was to satisfy my craving for some wanton soup. This was very well done and the broth was separate from the rest of the ingredients. I was sad that the brother was only is a half size container unlike the pho but the menu does say "broth on the side". It still tasted great and had lots of flavor. I was surprised that the wantons were fried as I'm more used to them being steams/boiled. They tasted great either way and I would order it again. The pork was thinly sliced and tasted great. The shrimp was also detailed (how I prefer it). I would totally order this again.
#31 Com Chien Dac Biet Deluxe Fried Rice - This was for my younger kids who would probably eat just plain fried rice. They seemed to like it pretty well. I had a couple bites and it was good and tasted like fried rice. I've never really ordered fried rice from a Vietnamese restaurant before so I'm not sure what I was expecting. When i wanted rice from a Vietnamese Restaurant I'd usually order the com suon grilled pork chop. The rice also came with some yellow sauce which we weren't even sure what it was but it tasted fine. Almost like yum yum sauce you would eat with hibachi. Overall it was good and if someone wanted fried rice i wouldn't tell them not to get it. I just think there were better options.
#10 Bun Thit Nuong Noodle Salad Bowl - My wife loves these and this was really for her. She got it with the pork. She also got it with cucumbers, lettuce, carrots, "pickled mix", fried scallions and peanuts. She said the fish sauce was a little sweeter than she would prefer and not quite spicy enough. There were packets of sriracha provided so we were able to doctor it. She also used some of the lemon slices from our pho dish and that helped cut the sweetness. Overall she said it was very good and scratched her itch even without all the doctoring she did. The portion was very good and she couldn't even finish it all in one sitting.
We also ordered 2 bubble teas, taro and thai. My wife actually laughed when she say them mixing it by hand. I think back home every restaurant/shop that sells bubble tea has a mixing machine. We were not given the options to modify the sweetness and found them to be overly sweet. We're not sure if that's just how everyone likes it down south or we're spoiled with our multiple bubble tea options back home. The kids absolutely loved it and although it was a little pricier than back home for what we got, it was still worth it if you need that bubble tea fix.
Overall, we would totally go back to Pho Claire again and would recommend it to other seeking Vietnamese cuisine in...

I am submitting this review not out of disappointment, but out of concern for the clear negligence and unprofessional behavior displayed by Pho Claire in Myrtle Beach, which resulted in the mishandling of nearly $100 worth of food and the complete disregard for consumer protection.
On the day of the incident June 13, I placed a substantial order through DoorDash. My assigned Dasher contacted me upon arrival only to discover that the restaurant had already handed my order to an unauthorized individual—a stranger who walked in and falsely claimed to be the delivery driver. At no point did the restaurant verify the individual’s identity, cross-check credentials, or follow basic due diligence such as verifying the door dasher code. This is not only a failure in customer service but a serious breach of reasonable business practice and food security protocol.
When the driver put me on speaker at a out 5:57 pm, the staff—particularly the woman at the front—was incredibly rude, dismissive, and completely uncooperative. Rather than expressing any concern or attempting to resolve the issue, she coldly stated that it was “not her problem” because the cameras showed that “someone” picked up the food. When I informed her that I would be reporting the theft to law enforcement so the video footage could be reviewed, she responded with a flippant “Oh, go ahead,” clearly unconcerned with accountability.
This level of apathy, negligence, and refusal to cooperate with both the customer and the assigned DoorDash driver is appalling. I did, in fact, contact the police to file a report for stolen goods. Whether this was the result of internal misconduct or incompetence, the restaurant’s refusal to assist in recovering the order or even acknowledge their failure to verify the pick-up raises serious concerns.
Restaurants have a responsibility to safeguard orders and ensure that food is handed only to verified delivery personnel. Pho Claire failed on all counts—security, professionalism, and customer service. Consumers should be aware that placing an order here comes with a risk of loss, zero accountability, and a high likelihood of being met with hostility if anything goes wrong.
To the management of Pho Claire: I strongly suggest immediate retraining of staff on basic delivery procedures, empathy and customer interaction.
Until then, I will not be returning, and I urge others to exercise caution when ordering from this...
Read moreNice lookin place but the food is so so. I did not like it. The menu was cut short. I asked the waitress and they told me short on help. Okay I can live with that. I wanted the shaky beef. But you cut all stir fried off menu If I'm the owner I'm rolling up my sleeves and will learn how to cook every dish. And yes I can cook shaky beef. That's fine. So I ordered stir fried rice with pork. I wish the waitress would have asked me how I liked it because I would have told them what's wrong with the fried rice. the pho. the grilled pork chop. The rice was okay. but the shrimp was not fresh cut in pieces and no flavor. the pork in the rice was dry and not much flavor and was Luke warm old not fresh. I know fresh pork and shrimp when I taste it and thats not it. like I said it's okay I'm not giving a bad rating but I will not be back. I'm at the point I'll just fire my grill up and make my Own shaky beef or rice stir fry. Can anyone cook anymore. I should have known not to go thru the doors when I seen shortage on menu items. my gut told me to walk away well no more in order to stop the squeaking you need to grease the wheel. I hope this owner reads this. Seriously order the rice stir fry and truly tell me what you think. and oh it comes with yum yum sauce. Like I said I dont want to give this store a bad review but the dishes that where ordered except the pho is not complex because it should take a long time to make pho properly. Oh and I can cook better than this. You give me a pork shop and I'll make it tender and grilled not dry. give me some shrimp and pork and I'm not throwing into the stir fry at the last of the cooking. guess why I'm cooking the shrimp and pork then putting it in the stir fry at the end when it's hot. but someone stir fried the rice the they cut up the shrimp and pork barbeque and throw it in and it's just warm. rice was the best part of that meal. but shrimp and pork not. Roll up your sleeves and cook. oh and one more last thing that's not pho I tasted the broth and it needs a lot of work. not like grandmas. you know what I'm talking about. dont lie to me. global shortage. you can go right to cost co and buy steak. there was no shortage back then....
