I don't even know where to begin with my praise for this place. You feel like family from the moment you set foot through the door. Don't expect a blazing fast experience; perfection takes time and this place is usually jam-packed. The fact that they are so busy should tell you a bit about the quality of the food you're about to receive.
My girlfriend and I came here with our 4 year-old son while in town on vacation. As soon as the front-of-house manager saw our son's Spiderman action figures, he was showing him pictures of his own kids and their Spiderman wall posters and birthday cakes. We felt welcomed, all of us, right off the bat. We were seated right away (I recommend making a reservation, but it's not required), and after a short wait received our drinks and appetizers. My girlfriend loved the bruschetta and I happily snacked away on bread and mozzarella sticks. Our salads were also delicious, served with some of the best balsamic vinaigrette I've ever tasted. Even the kid couldn't get enough of it!
After a decent wait owing to how packed the place was (which wasn't a problem due to the quick service of appetizers), we received our main courses and immediately embarked upon a religious experience. My girlfriend ordered the night's special, a lobster ravioli, and I ordered my favorite: penne alla vodka. Tasting that penne made every minute of the wait well worth it. Easily the best penne alla vodka I've ever had. Her lobster ravioli was equally divine. Just extremely well-executed and made with love and care that you could taste in every bite.
While I could go on for ages about how delicious the food was, what really made this place was the service. Each and every member of the wait staff was polite, friendly and performed their jobs as if they were happy to be there. Even when we asked for boxes because there was no way I was finishing my entree, our waitress took my plate and filled the box herself. We barely lifted a finger while we were there! Drink glasses never ran dry, despite the fact that it was a full house. It's a level of service that can only be explained by exceptional management and a genuine love for one's job.
In short, we will absolutely be back here again the next time we come to Myrtle Beach. It was the single best dining experience we had in our three days here, and I'm dying to try more of their menu options. If you decide to check this place out, I have a few requests for you: Be patient. It will be rewarded. If Steve's running the front of the house, tell him hello for me. Relax, sit back and prepare to enjoy one of the best Italian experiences...
Read moreWithout fail, Capriccio always delivers a fantastic dining experience. This is our go-to spot for nights when we’re craving good Italian food. We went again this week to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and it was another stellar dinner. My husband had made reservations (which I highly recommend as it fills up quickly!) and we were seated fairly quickly. Our server was there within minutes of us being seated to take our drink orders (Jack & Coke for him and a Limoncello style drink for me). As we were waiting for our beverages, the bread Gods shined upon us. Yes, bread Gods, because I’m telling you this bread is fantastic. Not only does it come out quickly, but it’s still warm! The outside has a fantastic crunch and the inside is akin to a fluffy cloud of carbs. Alongside the bread, you are given a dipping oil that has the perfect amount of garlic and spices in it. It is just chefs kiss perfection. Pair the bread and oil together and you’ve got deliciousness. We ordered an appetizer and our meals, and munched on our bread and oil. Our bruschetta appetizer came out just after our salads (which came with our entrees) we’re delivered to our table. I love the house dressing so I had that on mine, while my husband chose bleu cheese dressing for his. The bruschetta was absolutely delicious with fresh tomatoes, slivers of cheese, and tastes of balsamic. It also came with a small selection of mushrooms, peppers, and olives on the plate which were pretty good as well. Our pasta dishes came out not too long after we had finished our salads and appetizer. When I tell you these are LARGE servings I mean it. I can make multiple meals out of one plate. I chose the Linguini Carbonara and my husband had his ultimate favorite: Penne alka Vodka. They were both cooked to perfection and flavorful. To finish up we ordered two cannoli which seem to be freshly filled upon ordering. This was the perfect way to end our meal. If you’re looking for fantastic food and service, this should be...
Read moreMy cousins, boyfriend, and I dined in around 8 pm on 7/2/25. We had a waiter (did not get his name) Caucasian, probably 40’s-50’s with a pony tail. He told us the specials, and was very attentive the whole time. He kept our drinks filled and asked every time he passed by if we were satisfied. The food took about 15-20 mins to come out, that was no problem. My boyfriend and I were on the same check, and my 2 cousins were on the same check. Both checks tipped $5. So he got a $10 tip. He even boxed our food to-go for us which was nice. The problem came whenever we were going out the door. My cousin was the last one out and I was ahead of her. As we were walking to the parking lot we heard “No class!” We were very confused, I didn’t think he was talking to us until I heard the door shut. My cousin told me it was our waiter that said it TO US. I thought it was because we all had on shorts but then I realized he might’ve been upset about the tip. I got the manicotti and the other 3 got fettuccine Alfredo. My manicotti was good but they all said the Alfredo tasted bland and store bought. They could not even finish it. We did NOT complain any though because that’s not the type of people we are, we just accept our losses and call it a day. The waiter should’ve been GRATEFUL we even tipped. I have the upmost respect for waiters/waitresses because I know tips are what they depend on the most. But why would we tip a large amount for food that was not very good and the tea had NO sugar whatsoever, I would've been better off getting water. To the waiter—you’ve got a lot of nerve following people, what if we had a g-n and blew that ponytail off? What if my boyfriend would’ve heard you and asked to fight you? Control your anger! I wanted to go back in and tell your manager how weird you are but we took the higher road. The manager might be weird too if they let employees do stuff like that. You look retirement age and you gotta clock in...
