Snow Bird Burgers, Cones & 'Cues — Restaurant in Nags Head

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE! Stopped here expecting to have a fun night with my family while enjoying some of their ice cream. We were a group of 8..Very confused looking for the flavors of ice cream listed due to the overcrowded board. After several minutes I eventually walked up to the window smiled and greeted the employee. I then asked politely “Hey how are you? We were wondering what ice cream flavors y’all have to offer?” The mans response was aggressive and uncalled for..”All of our flavors are listed on the side ma’am”. He didn’t even try to direct me to them after noticing our family starring at their cluttered board. I tried asking again and he’s response had not changed by much so I tried one last time by saying “I’m sorry I just can not find them.” He then shook his head “No” and said aggressively again “They’re all listed there! Ma’am!” He then turned around I guess to come out didn’t really say anything after that. Stood beside the board, extended his hand out, swung it straight up and down..aggressively again.. and rushed back inside without saying a single word. Took me a second to recollect my thoughts… looked around and noticed we were the only non-white people there. People began to stare at us. So I decided for my families best interest and of course my own to leave and not spend our money here. Glad we left and found a much better spot called SUGAR KINGDOM just a few blocks away! Literally the best customer service even after we accidentally dropped one of their magnets. Place is so much bigger and let’s you try their flavors before...

Came here because I really wanted some soft serve ice cream, it seems like every place around here has “hand dipped” and that’s just not my thing. I ordered a chocolate vanilla cone with rainbow sprinkles from the girl at the window, while continuing to order for the rest of my family a blonde girl tried to hand me the swirl cone and I said “rainbow sprinkles?” in between trying to finish ordering. She huffed and puffed and took it back and a few seconds later (while I’m still ordering) she shoves a sideways cone at me, my husband took it and I took it back from him and showed the woman I was talking to and I asked if it could be remade and even the girl looked at the cone as if to say, we really handed this out? And took it back. Once all that was done and we finished ordering and we’re waiting for our ice cream to come out the blonde comes back again and leaves a cup on the window edge and slams the window closed. I stood in front of him to get our last item from her and loudly said THANK YOU and the girl said “mmm” and closed the window with more sense. I loved my cone so much it reminded me of Mr Softy’s from Jersey with the real jimmies and all. But if that girl can’t learn some manners and what should go to customers and what should not I wouldn’t even bother to come back. The greatest food in the world isn’t worth rude employees. Granted I completely understand she’s probably 17 and this is her first job but decency and respect is something even children should know. How...

Terrible experience! When I place my order I notice some youth in the business. The young teen girl was fixing fries(meaning she was putting the fries in a fryer but she did not cook them) I ask the older lady with the dark hair, could she tell the employees who is touching my food to put gloves on. I seen the gloves visible but no one had gloves on. Once I ask the older lady in a kindly manner. She had got offended and told me that, once the employees fix my food then they will put gloves on. I told her it look like the guy in back was already cooking my food and could he show his gloves. The lady then responded I could go home and make my own food if I am gonna complain about gloves. She told me look at our sanitation grade and see that the business is sanitize. I ask her did she get offended,and it is not professional to argue with a customer who clearly sees no one with gloves on. She then said she will refund my money and for me to go somewhere else because it is too hot for her. I feel it was inappropriate to argue in front of the children over her being bad business. I can tell she was having a bad day because I been to this restaurant several times and never experienced this type of customer service. One day the young girl teen took my order and had better customer service.. I will never go back here, they have great food but I can not eat no where that does not wear gloves and also have a attitude when I kindly request for my food to be made...
