-5* My worst experience ever😡 Believe me, I eat out a lot. Was invited for the first time and will take a legion to take me back. We were received by the host who told us she will sent our waitress right out, it took 20 minutes and some smoke signals to get someone to take of us. Let me tell you there was plenty of employees and not so many customers. Finally we were helped by Normando who took pity on us(he was not the one assigned to our table). Well he took our drinks order with the appetizers as well. It took another 20 minutes to get the drinks ans the appetizers "coquí, coquí". On our second round of drinks he took our dinner order I was dying for a fried red snapper "bien tostaito". My friend ask for a Mofongo relleno de Camarones en salsa criolla. We ask what have happens with the appetizers (it's being almost an hour by then). Normando kept apologizing for the delay, apparently everything was to come together at once, for which I wanted to cancel the appetizers but my friend was dying to have what we had ordered, sorullitos de maiz y chorizo al vino. We got the sorullitos first, OMG they weren't cooked properly so we returned them. A few minutes later we got the chorizo al vino, they were pretty good. We finally got our meal, OMG my fish was not even cooked, the skin was not even fried at all, so again I returned my dinner, ended eating a bit of my friend mofongo con camarones en salsa criolla which just taste as tomato sauce. We talked to Stephanie the manager which appologized for everything and was very nice to us, she removed the fish(the least she could do and didn't charged us for the appetizer). I explained to her we were not looking for anything free, we were just giving her a constructive comment. I myself am in the food industry and know how hard is to please every customer, but there was no real reason for the horrible experience. Very...
Read moreI visited this place on Good Friday (Viernes Santo). My family and I drove an hour and a half from the Metro area specifically for this restaurant. My aunt had described it as a nice place with good food and had made reservations for 2pm. We arrived punctually and found the location nicely situated across the street from the beach. It was evident that they were busy, yet parking was ample, with a lot behind the restaurant offering plenty of space. There was a "security" personnel collecting $5 for parking, but it seemed more like a suggested tip as they weren't actively charging. Upon entering the restaurant, the hostess's greeting lacked the warmth one would hope for and instead came across more like a warning: "Just so you know, there's an hour wait." My aunt explained that we had a reservation, and after some discussion, we were told to wait a few minutes until they prepared a table for us. During this time, we decided to order some drinks and appetizers. My spouse ordered a typical Piña Colada, and I opted for a shrimp turnover. Firstly, my wife was disappointed with her drink, although she noted she had tasted worse. As for the turnover, I was thoroughly let down. The shrimp were tiny, the seasoning was practically nonexistent (quite surprising given we were in Puerto Rico), and the crust was overly thick, resulting in a soggy texture upon biting into it. After a 15-minute wait, we were finally seated, but this was the final straw: we were informed that the kitchen was backed up with a wait time of 2 hours. While I understand that it was a festive day, such excessive wait times are unacceptable, especially when reservations have been made in advance.

Read moreGood tasting food, but restaurant ironically, lacked ingredients, which for the price of the food, there's no excuse. I will start off with mojitos, they didn't have any because they "didn't have the mint leaves". Food took about 30-35 min to arrive. My order tasted great and lacked nothing, but my friend ordered mid-well skirt steak with fried plaintains, and they brought it burnt-well done and it looked like they ran out of plaintains because they got her only 2 fried plaintains and 1 fried panapen. She said it definitely wasn't worth the price, and she was hungry so we didn't return it (it didn't taste great). We did ask for the plaintains, but what they brought looked like it was dipped in oil rather than being fried. My dad ordered rice and beans, and i could count about 7 beans... i mean really!? We asked for more, and they brought another bowl with 10 beans more... we basically paid for bean broth rather than the beans. Took them like 10 minutes after food arrived to give us our drinks, mind you, the restaurant only had like 3 family groups, so they weren't full. Close to finishing our food, the other family got mojitos served O_O about...
