BOAT HOUSE — Restaurant in Nantucket

I am reviewing while "hangry" I will admit... placed an order and have been waiting 2+ hours for delivery. Warm food isn't warm after 2+ hours. I realize the delivery service is via Delivery.com. However, a business needs to pick its partners and if a customer complains about this kind of delay, it can't be "well, it's our partner". Don't offer delivery if you can't live up to the expectations of the customer. Not sure what the food is like, so not rating that aspect. A call to the restuarant yielded the "it's not us"... a good response would be "I will remake it if you can...

The food is very good, but lately the delivery service and the restaurant do not notify when the food is on its way and they do not notify that they left the food at the door, on top of everything they are serving everything mixed up, I am paying for something and they bring me something else, the same thing has happened to me more than 3 times, 2 people I know have told me the same thing, the people who are serving in the presence of people prepare the food as if they did not care about anything. They need to improve too...

This place is absolutely fantastic. I consider it to be one of the finest mid-island restaurants and three only Mexican food on island. The owner, Hira, is a delightful person who is happy to see old friends at a restaurant he is proud of. The food is absolutely fantastic and priced fairly considering the Nantucket mark - up.
