I'm giving this a 5-star because I get the strong feeling that it's as good as any Skyline Chili could possibly get. In terms of decor, menu offerings, and output - I suspect it's precisely what is intended to be delivered. Conversely, I also assume the devotees expect precisely what is offered up.

Personally, I am NOT a particularly enthusiastic fan of the specialty (the "3-way") but I certainly respect it - and the throngs of followers it has earned.

It goes to follow that Skyline Chili is here in Naples. After all, I-75 ends up here - and Skyline Chili hails from Cincinnati.

I can't help but suspect that central to the "special recipe" is a dose of both chocolate and cinnamon.

For sociologists and gastro-anthropologists, I strongly recommend coming and ordering the three-way for starters, and then the four and subsequently five-way. Take your time eating it. Remember, this is a ritual.

I've known scores of Ohioans that get borderline weepy when conjuring images of this unique specialty. It makes me happy to know that it is so loved.

Anyway - I imagine the perfect accompaniment to a 3-way is something like a Yoohoo, or perhaps even a...

I'm a big time fan of Chilli, so I finally got to try out the famous Skyline. I pass it everyday, it's been cold lately so I figured it was a good time. Upon arrival I waited on line and a gentleman took my order. I wasn't given the option to take out or eat in so I assumed if I sat, I could eat in. The two gentleman waiting behind me were all given the option. Okay cool. So I knew right away, I would be given a bag to go and eat comfortably in my work truck. I ordered two coneys with everything and a large Chilli with everything. First thing I noticed, there's WAY too much cheese on these tiny hot dogs. I almost couldn't find the chili. They were ok. The chili, I can't lie it's good. I'd definitely come back for some. But I just felt uncomfortable there, wasn't given the same reception as other customers who were probably regulars. I'll try a...

I love the food here except for dogs. They are just not my type but I know most people like them. I just grew up on NJ and NY style dogs. I don't say anything negative about the dogs, try and decide for yourself. As for everything else, I love it! I usually get a regular 4 way spaghetti and chil and onions and cheese. They don't hold back at all on the cheese which is awesome. I love their hot sauce on my chili but a little goes a long way. I also love their Greek salad. The only negative thing I find every single time I go, the servers do way too much yapping with each other. If they have a problem, you would have heard all the issues before your meal is over. If you are looking for good food and cheap, this is a great place but bring ear plugs. Oh, and ask for a bib! Yes, a bib! Your shirt will thank me...

Back in Rhode Island, there is Olneyville New York System. Rhode Island is proud of their "Hot Weiners". Here in Naples, this is the closest thing to that. Skyline Chili does a fantastic job satisfying my craving. Great service and always brings me back to my childhood. Bring the kids or yourself if you're craving hot dogs, chili and cheese. Those of you on vacation from New England or recently moved here, this is your place if you are missing those New York System weiners!
