TL;DR -- Messed up our wedding reception big time. Terrible communication. No leadership, no one took responsibility, no one made it right. Terrible experience.
My bride and I booked the private room at 360 Bistro months in advance for our small wedding reception. We had been there previously to try it out, and their food and service were top notch (if exorbitantly expensive), so we thought it would be a sure thing. Let me start by saying, anyone who has ever been married or planned a wedding knows that there is so much that goes into it. So much planning, so much money, and when things don't go right it can be heartbreaking. Thus begins the tale of our experience at 360 Bistro. About a month out from the wedding, my bride calls 360 to just make sure everything is still good to go. They inform us that the person we had been dealing with no longer works there and they have no idea what we are talking about. So we showed the the correspondence between us and them and they agreed to honor the terms. It seemed like crisis was averted. Fast forward to the night of the wedding. We arrive post-ceremony to find that they had booted us out of the private room. No call, no email, no communication of any kind. They not only did not have us set up in the private room, they put us back in the corner in the server's prep area. They didn't even have enough tables or chairs set up. So here we are, us and our wedding guests wondering what in the heck is happening. Immediately we begin to ask what is going on. The manager never came to us to talk to us. She simply ignored that we were there. The wait staff tried desperately to cover, but they knew it was wrong. They stuffed us in to this tiny corner where I didn't even have enough room to pull the chair out for my bride to sit down. Appetizers were already supposed to be prepared, they weren't. So all of us had to wait for those. The food was delicious as we knew it would be and the servers, while it appeared that they had never been to a wedding or hosted any sort of party there ever, did an admirable job with the debacle. On top of all of the aforementioned gaffes, they informed us that they would be charging us $2.50 PER SLICE of our own wedding cake that we brought. They then proceeded to take the cake without even asking us and cut it into GIANT pieces. This was a cake made to serve 40-50 people. They cut it into 20 slices. Hundreds of dollars down the drain as no one could finish their cake. To top it off, they did not leave any for my bride and I to have! Imagine having to console your new wife who is in tears over all this, and not a manager in sight to even apologize for confusion. To end the night we asked for some satisfaction. We were told succinctly that we would not be receiving any sort of discount and were required to pay the full price. After the huge amount of money we spent, one would think we would get at least an apology from the manager. We did not.
As you might imagine, I will not be patronizing their establishment again and will actively encourage others to...
Read moreA great experience, from the service to the food. We were staying at a nearby VRBO. I had Googled nearby restaurants, saw 360 Bistro, liked the menu, and decided to give it a try. I called 360 shortly after we arrived at the VRBO around 7:30 pm on a Thursday, and they were able to get us in at 8:20. Plan ahead if you can. It is not cheap -- we spent, with tip, nearly $300 for three people -- but it was worth every penny. We thought about going back the last night of our four-day stay. That said, I will start with my only negatives. On the plus side, the Caesar salad included white anchovies. I like anchovies. I could have used a few more given that white anchovies are relatively mild. Our daughter is not so much an anchovies fan. She thought the amount was fine. If you like anchovies, I suggest you ask about extras on the side. We both agreed, however, that the dressing needed more garlic and less vinegar. Overall, the salad was good, but for us would have been better with more garlic. In all my years ordering Caesar salad, I have found only two restaurants that provided sufficient garlic versus vinegar that I like, so take that into consideration. Also, the ambience is just okay. A bit cold and stark. It was noisy when we first arrived. Given the overall quality of the restaurant, I was a bit surprised that the ambience was not better, but its impact on our experience was minimal. I am a retired corporate attorney, and I am sensitive to being accused of being an ambiance chaser, so take that into consideration too. To start, our cocktails were excellent. I failed to retain our itemized bill, and given that I am now in my mid-60s, I cannot tell you what we had, other than I had a Hendricks martini with blue cheese olives, which was very good. As for the entrees, my wife and daughter order the steak frites, which they both agreed was excellent. Cooked perfectly. I ordered the sashimi tuna, which is hard to find at most restaurants we've been to. It was outstanding. A very generous portion. Perfectly seared. Given the disparity of entrees, my wife and I each ordered a glass of wine rather than a bottle. Our waiter, "Elia B." was quite helpful in helping us choose, given the extensive wines by the glass menu, the most extensive I can recall seeing. The suggested wine on the menu for my tuna was more than I wanted to spend, and Elia suggested both a white and red wine that I might enjoy. I chose the pinot noir she suggested. We enjoyed her recommendations. For dessert, we chose the gelato flight. We all agreed, overall, that the entire dinner...
Read moreWe came here on Valentine’s Day. We tried not to be disappointed and we were going to let it go. But we ended up vomiting when we got home. It ruined our Valentine’s Day. We had to cancel the rest of our plans.
Now, if it was one bad meal it wouldn’t be as big of a deal. However, had a 4-course meal and 2 drinks each. The only thing they didn’t mess up was my gf’s wine. The dirty sanchez was too bitter for my liking and no salt rim?? And the tiniest little lonesome dried lime.
First course: Salad was a 6/10, lobster soup had some weird pieces of what looked like burned stuff in there and was so salty that neither of us could finish it.
Second course: They were out of salmon so we got the tuna tartare and some raw beef dish. I swear they sprinkled Lays chips on the beef. The tuna tartare must have been what made us sick. It was the only thing we could down without cringing because it was loaded with sauce. Sadly that probably just covered the taste of the tuna that had gone bad. I say that because we found out on the main course just how bad this place is.
The main course was a beef Wellington and a sea bass dish. The steak was practically raw with a thin crust. Now that would be delicious any other day. How could you possibly get a Beef Wellington wrong? Well it’s by using meat that has gone bad. I took one small bite and knew right away. My gf knew when she tried it too. Her sea bass was a strip of sea bass, plain white rice, and a smear of sweet potato. But the after-taste was horrific, tasted like it had gone bad too. We sent them both back after we each tried a bite of the dishes.
Dessert was nothing to write home about. Mousse was a step above Walmart pudding and the other plate just looked like they picked it up from Publix.
We are upset because they ruined our night with their negligence. We were looking around, nobody finished that Beef Wellington and everyone was sending food back or taking it to go, probably to be nice.
Service was okay except when the server said you’ll be fine here when we asked if we can change tables.
Okay final photo is the aftermath. You can have your $300 4-course...
