If I could give negative stars I would. Went to 5 Agaves today with my 9 month old daughter and some other family members. Soon as we walked in the door we were greeted with eye rolls from one of the waitresses. Upon seating, we was being rushed I couldn’t even sit my daughter in the high chair before the waitress rushed us for a drink order without even looking at a menu. As getting our rushed drinks, the coke was flat and had no flavor, understandable things happen. We asked to exchange for something else and the waitress rolled her eyes and asked what was wrong with it but still brought us something else. Soon as she sat those down she asked for our order, must I mention still haven’t had time to look at the menu so I just opted for a quesadilla WITHOUT beans and double rice. I had to tell this lady THREE times no beans. She brings the plate to the table not only sitting the that plate WITH BEANS directly in front of my 9 month old which she ended up grabbing and BURNING her hand and also leg, I didn’t even have time to stop it as it was so fast and said waitress was in my way. Who puts a scolding hot plate in front of a baby? I WILL NEVER BE BACK. I haven’t ate here in forever and decided to give them a chance but this is and will be the only chance I ever give them again. I told them to take the plate which had beans on it that I did not want from the get go and I would pay for the cheese dip and drink but they said not to worry about it as if that would make up for burning my daughter. Also not to mention, if the beans wasn’t on the plate from the get go that I DIDNT order and repeated to the waitress multiple times that I didn’t want them the whole burning my daughter could have been avoidable. I am highly disgusted with this restaurant and hope this doesn’t happen again to anyone else. The owner even mentioned to the waitress saying “ why would you sit that there “ etc. I’m legit POed. I DO NOT recommend going...
Read moreLet me preface my statements by saying I came at the end of the lunch rush. I always give a new restaurant three chances. Despite the fact that it was at the end of the lunch rush the place was clean. The tables were cleared away. I was greeted by a very friendly employee. She had a bright smile though she must have been exhausted from the lunch rush. I was quickly seated and given a menu. As she wrapped up the few remaining tables of customers she already had, she took my order brought me some water chips and salsa. It took a longer time than expected for my food to come considering I was the only table who had just been seated. The others in the restaurant had finished their meal and were visiting and wrapping up. Once my meal was brought I realized why it had taken so long. I feel certain it had been left to set while she wrapped up with the other tables. The food was lukewarm. Because it had been left to set it was mushy on the bottom of my taco chimichanga and burrito. The cheese had already congealed. I'm not sure if the kitchen had not informed her it was ready or if she became distracted with wrapping up at the end of a very hectic lunch rush and simply forgot about it. As I said at the beginning I always give a new restaurant three chances. Her friendliness, and the cleanliness of the restaurant will bring me back for...
Read moreI'm not sure where to begin. Lets go positive first. The salsa was good, along with the most expensive bowl of queso I've ever seen. They have two sizes, small and one step up at $6.99, I had no idea it was so pricey until we received our check. Our entrees were average at best, no flavor at all, and the service was subpar. We started outside where they have some outdoor seating. Don't sit outside if cigarette smoke bothers you. We had no idea smoking was permitted. So we had to move inside, as the smoker right next to us was exhaling our way. Back to the service, it was extremely slow and disappointing. Starting with having to ask for menus, and not getting wrapped silverware until we got dinner, so that means no napkins until then. Place needs a good cleaning, and some organizing of the service staff. They were not that busy, but we still couldn't get taken care of in a timely manor. I still tipped our server, but it was a guilt tip, and not deserved. A woman I can only surmise was either the manager or owner was constantly buzzing around, and obviously working very hard. To bad the staff didn't follow her lead. After asking for additional chips, as we had all of this queso and no meals yet. I had to go stand in the doorway of the kitchen and ask for it again. Uhhggg! We got in the car and just shook are heads...
