Captain D's — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

Updated: Huge difference today. I haven't been back for 10 months because of the issues listed previously. Today, staff greeted me as I approached the counter. They were polite and helpful, even smiling at times. These small things are very important. It starts the exchange of conversation and commerce on a positive foot. Again, huge change. Thank you.

Older review: Absolutely terrible service! I ordered online to expedite my wait. I arrived at a slow restaurant with only 1 customer in front of me, who was being served. I advised the staff I had a prepaid online order.. 35 MINUTES LATER I got my meal. While waiting, 4 sets of customers came in, ordered at the counter, were given their meals, and sat to eat. Even those customers were commenting out loud about the absurdity of me still standing there. Staff was indifferent. When I asked what's going on after 30 minuted, they appeared mad that I asked, and kitchen staff just stared at me as if to draw me into a fight. We're never going back. Friends, family, and neighbors will all be advised to stay away from here. Perhaps Capt Ds should burn it down again and start over...

Well..... we sat in a line of three other cars for approximately 27 minutes. I know this because they have a timer on the wall !!! No one ever apologized for the long wait, I even asked for a tea and they charged me for it! Really! I think they heard me say "unbelievable, they cannot even give you a tea for waiting so long". Because the really nice lady at the window asked if we wanted "free desert". So I guess they were trying to do the right thing. It was 8:20 PM we had just come from having two MRIs so we were cranky, but 27 minutes REALLY?!? However, when we got home to reheat the food, it was amazingly delicious! I've always loved Captain Ds. Just put alittle hustle in...

I have nothing but good comments about my recent visit to Captain D's, Hermitage. Pamela was working at the counter taking orders and she had such a sweet smile and a gentle voice. So many times, I've felt rushed and like I was an inconvenience to the person behind the counter. But not this time, for Pamela is the kind of employee every place needs. Next, I met Jacobi, who brought my order to the table. He also had the kind of honest smile and attitude that makes you just smile back!
