Super duper dogs. Super duper duper dogs. Bread & meat were very fresh. Juice in the hot dogs like there should be. I got an elotes dog which was the monthly special. It had all the basic elotes stuff on it (except mayonnaise I think...that might be too much) and even gave me a lime to squirt on it. I could not definitively tell as all the flavors meshed together into a beautiful train wreck of Mexico and Chicago, but I suspect the secret sauce was also on there. Speaking of the secret sauce get the secret sauce. You might even want some of the perfectly crisp tater tots to wash it down with. The kids got dogs and loved them. The wife got one and loved it. Daddy’s Dogs also has tater chips. They offer several kinds of bottled cokes, but I suggest an orange Fanta of course. Bug juices for the babies. About five dogs, 5-6 bottled drinks, a bug juice, bag of chips, & tater chips cost somewhere in the $60 ballpark, but these weren’t ordinary Ballparks. I’ll be sneaking back here.

Hippie style wienery where size does matter. An outdoor eatery decked out with numerous signage, a former gas station canopy and picnic tables and patio chairs in a fenced in area. As we approached the order window it looked to be none other than “Daddy” owner Sean Porter manning the wiener station. Personable and helpful he assisted us in making our choices with my wife ordering the Chicago topped with a pickle, onions and tomato: minus the onions. I ventured out with the Chili Dig topped with their own chili, onion, cheese and sour cream. The wiener was sizable with good texture, Kaiser style bun that was toasted and a fair amount of chili. My wife’s Chicago with minimal toppings seemed to be more bun than wiener and the chili on the chili dog lacked a real thickness and taste. But overall, the food was good, service commendable and the experience memorable. It is in an interesting part of an industrial area.

We were visiting from Minnesota and stumbled across daddy’s dogs. I was ecstatic because I love gourmet hot dogs and am quite a foody. I ordered the big daddy dog and the Carolina dog. Each dog extended past the perfectly toasted bun just enough. The outside of the buns had just enough crisp to them while sill soft and easy to enjoy. The big daddy dog was very well balanced and sophisticated. With the special sauce and soothing crisp of the slaw every bite it was identifiable by layer but also a perfect combined flavor. The beef flavor of the dog was not lost due to the toppings and I find that important. As for the Carolina dog while equally delicious it was a bit more adventurous. With a touch of heat from the jalapeño and zing from the pickle in every bite. The onion bacon and sauce also helped in the party that hit my pallet. I see daddy’s dogs as a must to anyone who enjoys a gourmet hot dog.

Great music when I walked up, the guy on the sign took my order. He was super friendly and everyone was wearing masks and following the guidelines which is great. We've been trying to stay away from restaurants that allow dine in during these weird times. It felt personable and safe. Which is definitely what we could all use a bit of these days.

The food. The Carolina dog was tasty AF. I really enjoyed the flavors, the daddy's dog my roommate devoured with a smile on his face, and my daughter couldn't have been happier with her dog and tots. The only thing that didn't do it for me was the chilli on the chilli dog. It was bit bland, but still enjoyable with added mustard. Think maybe it needs a but more chili powder and paprika, or maybe a squirt of Sriracha 😉.

All in all a great little spot with really good food and a friendly atmosphere. We'll definitely be going back the next time we are craving some fancy dogs. And hopefully one day soon get to stay and eat out on the patio with a couple of beers to enjoy the atmosphere and rockin tunes. Can anyone say viable...

The food is excellent! No one can take that from them but their customer service is horrible. This is my second time coming because after my first rude experience, I was like maybe they had a off night or maybe I am being overly sensitive. The girls working the window ignored me and were just rude. I thanked them and told them to have a good night with no response from them. Tonight my husband and I went back again because the dogs are awesome. I made my husband get out to get the food. He said you are right, they were rude and just ignored me. We made our order online which adds an automatic 20% tip for this rude behavior mind you. The online order said it would be ready at 4:50. We get there and 30 minutes later we finally got our food. They messed up the order on top of that. We ordered and paid for 2 corn dogs but they only made one. So our corn dog and tots that came out first was cold by the time the second corn dog was ready. We live in the Nations and would have been repeat customers....
