My boyfriend and i visit Midnight oil frequently. We typically have felt welcome there, enjoyed the food, drinks. Today, Sunday evening, was by far the worst experience we have ever received. To say my boyfriend was racially profiled, is putting it nicely. The Sunday crew needs to do BETTER. We waited to order for 30 minutes. The bartender/server, in the Red Sox shirt, looked at us 12 times, both of our beers and water EMPTY, rolled his eyes, and proceeded to walk away. But don’t worry, he took care of the couple next to us, who didn’t wait more than 2 minutes for refills on drinks, and ordered. The cheesy bread was pure grease tonight. The lady who brought out the food didn’t say anything, just sat our food down and walked away. Now i know she is a runner, but legit threw his piece of pizza down, and turned around. We used to enjoy going there, but since the new staff they have gotten, we will not be going back. Racism is unfortunately still alive, and the Sunday crew that worked tonight, proved that. Do better...
Read moreI arrived here kind of later in the night and was nervous about it looking like a rowdy bar inside; however, once I entered there was a nice little table in the corner on the patio (by a super cute dog!). It was fun watching the livelihood from afar. I ordered one slice of the white pizza and one of the buffalo chicken, and three honey hot chicken skewers.
Pros: pizza was tasty. I liked the flavors and freshness of it all. Slices were large and easy to fold. Crust was cooked well. service was super quick and friendly! love that they allow doggos! atmosphere was fun if you're into that sort of thing. total price was only $15! whole pizzas are large and cost probably less than a large at Pizza Hut so it's definitely affordable.
Cons: two slices weren't very filling.
Overall, would return if I'm in the Nations and have a hankering for pizza, but will need to order more...
Read moreThis is a homey neighborhood hole-in-the-wall bar and eats. The pizza is really good if you like it thin, so I had to rave about it in a review. My husband has been getting pizza there for a while, but it was the first time I dined in. It’s a small bar area with tables. They have an enclosed outdoor add-on that larger parties were eating in, but we were inside at a high table. My daughter loves the pizza with “hot honey”. It was delicious. I had the vegetarian. The bar serves everything, and also has an alcoholic hot chocolate machine. That was really good! Behind the bar is a shuffleboard of all things. We play for a while, mainly because it was not that crowded. It is a little hard to find. It is off the side of the road in a plaza type building, and the bar/restaurant had no sign on it. Strange, I know, but it is called...
