Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

You can never go wrong with Jeni‘s. The ice cream here is just too good, too fresh, and an excellent experience.

A couple friends and I came here on a hot day recently to get some cool ice cream and sit in the shade. As soon as we got in, staff were very attentive and offering us samples of different flavors.

I ended up picking the classic brambleberry crisp as well as one of their seasonal flavors which was the sweet cream biscuits and peach jam.

The brambleberry flavor is incredible. Fresh berries are mashed in with pieces of crisp cobbler in a beautiful and velvety vanilla ice cream. It works so well together and is so delicious.

The seasonal flavor of sweet cream biscuits and peach jam was amazing. I definitely wanted to try the local peaches that come from the peach truck in Nashville, and the fact that they include big pieces of flaky, soft, buttery biscuits in to the ice cream is incredible. The saltiness from the biscuits actually balances incredibly well with the ice cream as a whole, and the sweet peach jam has some chunky pieces of peach in it.

I would definitely get both of these flavors again if given the choice.

The ample seating outside in the shade is also fantastic. Definitely come by to get great ice cream with less crowded lines than the other locations...

So I went to Jenni's blended ice creams for the first time this evening. The person working behind the counter at the centennial Avenue location. First of all, I think they were pocketing cash from the customers before me. I'm not 100% sure about this but it did seem a little fishy. My complaint is I told them which flavor ice cream I wanted and she messed up and scooped the first scoop of something else. Instead of wasting the scoop I told her it would be all right. I would eat it anyways but she could put my other flavors on top of it, but she completely ignored what I was saying, and started a whole new bowl just to throw the other one away I suppose. I said it one more time to make sure they heard me, you can go ahead and give me that one instead of wasting it and she still ignored me after looking at me and acknowledging she heard me. Came tonight to get takeaway ice cream with my sister and we were helped by a very kind woman at the front register. Unfortunately the woman behind the counter (with brown hair, glasses, and a green bandanna) was very cold and rude. We ordered a flight of ice cream and she was clearly annoyed! We were told it was because it was just a lot of scooping to do. She rolled her eyes at us multiple times and when she said I needed to change my order because they couldn’t do a flight unless it was the signature flavors I tried to ask her what all she had scooped already and how I could make the changes to the order easier on her. She told me to just tell the girl at the front whatever and she would read it on the screen. She then proceeded to complain about us to her coworker.
