If I could give 0 Stars, I would. We have bought cakes here before but this time was the worst experience. The cake looked like it was decorated by a drunk kindergartener. The icing lines weren't straight, it looked like someone dropped a knife through the printer image in two different places and it had a bunch of specks of something I couldn't identify on it. The worst part is that the lady couldn't see any problem with it, so I became quite irate. All they had to do was acknowledge the issue and offer to correct it but instead they acted as if it's fine and couldn't see anything wrong. We will never return a La Conchita. *Update in response to owners reply* See, you still don't get it. I would have never posted this negative review if your employees cared and took responsibility in the first place. Instead they wanted to be argumentative. It's unacceptable. If there is an issue, you own it and fix it, not try to explain it away as "It's not going to be perfect." All this could have been avoided had they acknowledge the issue and offered to fix it at the beginning instead of after 15 minutes of argument.

This place was amazing! We came at an odd time, but they still had a ton of delicious baked items that all looked so good. Being able to get any baked item for ~$1 allows to get a wide variety of different treats. My personal favorite was the cream cheese stuffed triangle pastries. You will not be disappointed in that or the guava stuffed pastries. My least favorite here was the iconic orejas (elephant ears). These were hard, almost like the consistency and taste of a baklava. Other bakeries have better ones that are light, flaky, and instantly melt in your mouth. But other than that, this place is a must and I will definitely be back again!

I cannot say enough, good things about this store. I went in and was amazed by the sheer selection of items that they had. It was almost like I was at a bakery in Mexico. All of the items that I tasted were absolutely incredible! I had the opportunity to not only meet a lot of the staff, but also the owner. They were so proud of everything they made. They wanted me to try other things and I am so glad I did! Their Tres leches cakes are absolutely to die for. If you’re looking for a good cake for your next party or you’re looking for some pastries for your next outing this is definitely one place. You should check out.

Avoid buying cakes from this place, especially tres leches We bought a tres leches cake here for my daughter’s birthday and really had an awful experience with this place. I picked up the cake the day of her birthday and they pride themselves in making fresh cakes however our cake tasted stale almost as if it had been sitting in the fridge for some while or the milk they used had gone bad. Whatever it was, we called to let them know and they asked us to bring the cake in for them to taste or smell? I’m not sure but the person who makes/ decorated the cakes passive aggressively told us that they “ALWAYS” make their cakes fresh and implied that it wasn’t good for their business to spread lies about them and didn’t give us the option to just get a different cake. The only option that was given to us was to return the cake and get our money back. It’s a shame that this is our experience with them, we used to love their baked bread and would visit them regularly, however since that incident we’ve been put off by them and don’t give them our business anymore. The lady at the counter was nice though. Just the owner/ cake maker/ decorator was pretty aggressive and rude.

Edit: I’ve also had an issue with purchasing their flan slices from the fridge next to the cakes. The first time we tried it we were disappointed with how stale it tasted and then we decided to try another slice a few months later and the same issue. Once is understandable but two times...

The baked sweet bread is good but the cakes are horrible! We have bought the bread and had no problem and it's always been consistently good but the cakes we have had some many issues. At first they were good but most of them have peaches on them and my husband being highly allergic to peaches is an issue. We ordered a specific cake for his birthday and emphasized the no peaches and when we cut it we find its filled with peaches. Then on another event we order in advance two cakes and pick out the design and pay for the specialty cakes and when I send someone to pick it up and they arrive with a basic no design cakes. Both cakes just had a white whipping icing and a colored lettering saying happy birthday on one and happy baptism on the other and that's it. Then they were dry definitely rushed cakes and not well executed. I went to someone else's birthday and they bought a cake from this place and their cake was dry as well. For selling tres leches cake, having a dry cake...
