The food is literally sooo good, I wish the customer service was the same! I’ve had three bad experiences here but the pizza always makes me change my mind & not say anything. This most recent time just made me wanna just go ahead & just let ppl know what they’re most likely getting into if they come for dinner time! The older people that work in the morning are so great & kind unlike a couple of the younger people who work at night. It starts from the moment I step my foot in the door. For example, (coming from someone who has had many different kinds of customer service experiences from my jobs) it’s honestly wild to me that they don’t even acknowledge you when you walk in the door. I was shocked this time that they even looked at me for more than a split second 😂. They all seemed to be preoccupied & they also didn’t let me know the would “be with me in just a moment” or anything along the lines of that, & after ALL THAT still the first words that came out were “slim or husky?” Yikes. The music was quite loud & when they couldn’t hear they just stared at me & then got an attitude when they started to make one of my orders incorrectly. There was another night I ordered for pickup (mind you this was a Friday & they close at 10 according to google but apple maps says 11 so they also need to fix that) and I came in sometime around 9:30 & the doors were locked… While my pickup is sitting on the shelf… Ok I guess. I understand that they stop taking orders at a certain hour but to lock the door makes them look bad.. A couple of the guys in there are just shouting “we’re done” (other employees just ignoring of course) & doing a cutoff gesture towards me instead of opening the door and of course I say I have a pickup… Only then do they unlock the door. :) I could also tell they rushed my order because the dough was thicker than usual on both pizzas; I got two slims. Now I’ve only mentioned these two similar experiences but that’s two too many! The pizza is phenom.com but maybe I should give up on this location.. the pizza’s too good though! 😩 Y’all just need to handle that customer service aspect because all people aren’t as nice as I am 😂 No photos cause we still tore...
Read moreThe pizza here was AMAZING! I was visiting from FL and my sister took me and my mother to this restaurant! So this review could have gone BOTH way. 5 stars for the food and 1 star for the service (2 at the max). On this particular day, we came in and there was a gentleman that came in but not through the side door. He was approached by "security" who made a scene about it! They were getting loud and truthfully, I don't think they noticed it but another customer had to get in it and tell them to be respectful of the kids! "Security" then thought it was the guy who was just saying be respectful of the kids, who was being loud. NOT TRUE! I do agree with the gentleman that it is a place of business and customers we're looking! That's not professional. However, one of the guys came from the back and did a good job of calming down the situation- calling it the "black Chick-fil-A ". I understood where he was coming from- owned by blacks, they just want to have the Chick-fil-A vibe (which is pleasantly pleasant with happy workers and customers- the "my pleasure" atmosphere). There was also another staff member who joked with me (the light skinned guy handing out the token) about trying out the spinach! I do have advise- but I once again gave 4 stars for the food and food alone and really wanted to give them 5 stars- the person stretching the pizza with the sauce should not be writing the names on the pizzas with same gloves, the guy who picks up token with prongs should not be fixing the cheeses and meats. Remember, this could lead to cross contamination! I also saw the guy who came out to hand the pizza to the waiting customer, cutting pizza and come out and get a receipt from one of the workers that had fallen on the floor and was picked up and handed to him wearing the same gloves! But last but not least- pizza was delish! My mom HATES pizza and she LOVED this pizza! Keep doing what you're doing (without all the potential cross contamination and remember there is a "time and a place" to handle...
Read moreThis place was definitely all that I'd hoped it would be. I was visiting the Nashville area and knew that this restaurant had to be on my foodie stops. First, aesthetically, the building is very clean. It has cool hipster like appeal. Secondly, the parking was super easy. Their are subtle nods to cultural cult classics like Spike Lee Joints, and silhouetes of popular 90's sitcoms on the restroom doors. The menu includes a few nods to popular R&B music groups and songs. The process for ordering moved pretty quickly. You ordered your individual pizza with unlimited toppings and selection of sauce. The pizza comes in two personal sizes: the Slim and the Husky. The sauce included the classic pizza sauce or you could Spice it with their Spicy Red. They also offer other sauces like the "White Sauce is Slammin" pizza sauce just to name a few. Now....the toppings. There are a ton of toppings and they are unlimited. Yaasss! Come thru!! They have all your classic meat toppings including smoke chicken. If you are more the pescaterian type, they have smoked salmon and shrimp...or you can keep it veggie lovers like I did. You watch them assemble your pizza. I had the classic red with the special three cheese blend, fresh mozzerella, and feta. My toppings included spinach, roasted red peppers, roasted grape heirloom tomatoes, mushrooms, pineapple, tiny diced green bell pepper, and carmelized onion. You can also pick a drizzle. The pizza is placed on a conveyor belt and goes through the oven and though the crust is thin, this process leaves crispy pan pizza like edges. It was slammin'! After you order your pizza, you take your poker chip to cash out. This place has a healthy array of drafts on tap!! You can sample. They offer the locals brews, IPA's and ciders. They also have a nice selection of bottled beverages. I would certainly recommend and will be back when I'm...
