Tex's World Famous Bar-B-Q — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

Ordered brisket/sausage combo. Coming from you walk up and can smell the barbecue. It’s not quite as woody smell from a distance as you’d expect walking up to a Texas joint.

As you walk in the door. Your server looks kinda like Matthew mcconaughey and mans the meat station.

Ordered smoked sausage and brisket. was expecting a bit more woody flavor on the brisket, but it’s still juicy (dry is kiss of death); bring out the sauce! Both sauces are kind of interesting…one has a slow burn, sweet bite. The other is kinda sweet and maybe I could’ve done without (sweet dee?)

Sausage, oddly enough, more flavorful than the brisket. So that’s good!

Mac and cheese more savory, which is unexpected. Could use a bit more kick.

Cobbler is not /too/ sweet, slightly sour. Quite good!

Two meat, two sides and a drink was 14.97

Would I come back? Yep! (More than i can say for the chains like Texas Roadhouse, etc)

I chuckled at the name. Tex's World Famous in Nashville TN. Gotta hand it to them they do a mean Q. I walked in and the little lady taking orders knew I had never been there before and I just wanted a taste so I got the pulled pork sammich with coleslaw and little peeled potatoes. Man it was filling, good and the sweet hot BBQ sauce is to die for. I enjoy these tucked away gems. BEST food in the country is the stuff you stumble into. The coleslaw is OutSTANDing. They have a wide array of things to add onto and a pretty good sized menu. It packed up quick. I was the only one when I got there and the lot filled up to overflow as I was leaving. Bring your appetite and 20 bucks you are good...

Stumbled upon this spot, which just happens to be 10 minutes from my office (I get lost in my own little world sometimes). Let's just say I'll be stumbling upon it regularly from now on. Got the "All Meats Combo" plate and man, you talk about good eatin'. Brisket, pulled pork, BBQ bologna, turkey, and sausage covered in their Sweet n' Hot sauce - bbq heaven. Perfectly cooked new potatoes and nicely seasoned baked beans on the side with skillet cornbread. Sign me up for another! You simply can't beat it and a steal at $13 for the whole shebang.
