Nashville is known for its hot chicken, but it also has some pretty good burger spots. I came to this place called Cledis @lovecledis and heard they have some of the best burgers in Nashville.
The Georgia Carpese Signature Burger 🍔🍔🍔 - These is one of their signatures smash burgers, with fried mozzarella, basil pesto, peach preserves, and balsamic drizzle. This was an ok burger, but I felt like something was missing, maybe an aioli or something similar that would really give that wow factor. I was hoping this would have come from the peach persevere, but unfortunately, the peach flavor wasn't as pronounced as I had hoped. Also, I would have liked if the bun was buttered and toasted.
The Garlic Parmesan Wings 🍗🍗🍗 - These were ok, but again, these are also missing that wow factor. Possibly cooking the wings longer to make them crispy/crunchy, adding a dry season when they are first out the grease, then add a garlic parm to drizzle would make these wings go from meh to mmmmmmmm.
The Truffle Shuffle Fries 🍟🍟🍟 - These fries were good!...Big and bold flavor from the truffle and parmesan. The fries came out hot and crispy. Good job with these fries!
The Fried Kielbasa - Is 1/2 pounds of sliced kielbasa tossed in a maple bourbon glaze. To be honest, if I had this and the truffle fries, I would have been impressed and satisfied. This was very good! Crunchy texture in the kielbasa and tasty glaze on top. Possibly adding this to one of the signature burgers would certainly be a hit!
To wrap up, Cledis has some good stuff, but I was a little underwhelmed by the burger. This is a burger place, so maybe I need to try the other signature burgers.

Read moreLove a good smash burger and while in Nashville I got to cross Cledis Burgers & Beer Garden off my dining list. You order at the bar and that is where I met Ethan who took the time to explain the different burgers along with the Cledis Sauce. They have 24 beers on tap along with some cans and I decided on the Avery White Rascal…an unfiltered Belgian-style white ale from Boulder, CO. This is a really good beer, great flavors, and would be an awesome complement if you were having fish & chips. For the burger I went with “The Big Smack” {which will have you humming a familiar tune} and an order of fries. It’s the little things folks like Ethan bring to a business…like when I asked for fries with no salt instead of hemming and hawing it was “no problem”.
Sat down with my beer and my food followed quickly and looked delicious. Cut the burger in half…may be a 4 oz patty but this burger is a handful. I went back and asked Ethan for a side of the Cledis sauce because I couldn’t taste it with all of the wonderful things going on with this burger. HIGHLY recommend you ask for an extra side of sauce when you order…dipping the burger into the sauce makes for a great burger experience. The fries are great with some peel on, crispy, and they held up for the entire meal.
The place is really interesting and you could spend a lot of time exploring all of the décor, and if it wasn’t so hot the patio looks like a great place to relax. Bottom line…excellent burgers along with great and...
Read moreThese burgers absolutely exceeded my expectations. We were looking for a good burger place in Nashville and these looked really good. From the moment we parked you could smell they were going to be good burgers.
We were craving just a classic burger so we got the Cledis burger. I added bacon and my partner got double patties. The bacon was evenly spread on the burger, which I really appreciated and both of our additions I think were fairly priced.
The burger itself was AMAZING. The patty had a nice chargrilled flavor, the lettuce and tomatoes were nice and crisp, and the Cledis sauce had a really good flavor. I added ketchup because i like ketchup but I seriously don't think it needed it. Normally, I end up leaving like half of my burger but tonight I cleared my plate so quickly. I seriously wanted another one but I was already full. I do think for people who eat more getting the double patty is worth it. I think the single would have been a tad too small for my partner.
With our burgers, we got the truffle fries and I really liked the flavor. I've had truffle fries that have a very overpowering but these were very well balanced with the parmesan.
The establishment was nice and cozy. It's small inside and has cool art and colorful lights. The staff was also super friendly. Overall, I highly...
