Enjoyed the pad kee mao (drunken noodles) and good fresh veggies But it was more like a broth. Medium spice was just right for me.
Curry was good but not exceptional.
The worst part about this place is how cheap they are. If you want to eat here you got to spoon your curry to a box of rice. No plates. The plastic where they provide you is so flimsy and it won't even hold anything. It's a nightmare to eat. The napkins they give you are brown bathroom dispenser napkins. Cheap. Even the quantity of drunken noodles is very small for the $15 you pay.
When I just talked to them about it they're actually opening a side area where there will wait on you and you can use real plates and bowls and real silverware. Otherwise this place is to go and you're just borrowing an open seating table currently. Still doesn't make an excuse for their cheap utensils on the to go side because they're really not useful for even eating with. But it's good to know they're going to have an inside seating option with real plates...
Read moreI ordered pad Thai and Tom kha soup. I was disappointed there was no lunch specials and it ended up costing more than I would have liked but I went specifically for it and was starving. The pad Thai was delicious. They didn't ask how spicy I'd like it, but it came mild with side cups of crushed peppers and a spicy pepper sauce so you could modify it. I thought the ratio of meat to noodles to peanuts was perfect. I was underwhelmed by the Tom kha. It was bland and flavorless which was disappointing since it's my all time favorite. I'm not sure what I'm going to add later to make it palatable. I wish I had the $5 back instead. Also worth noting is you order at the window and they prepare it to go. I had been wanting somewhere to sit down and have a traditional server so that was a surprise, but the entree was outstanding so I'm...
Read moreThai Ni Yom is by far my favorite place to eat in Nashville! I've lived here for over a decade and it's become a regular lunch and dinner spot.
The Famous Basil is my favorite, but the Pad Thai is delicious, too, so is the crab rangoon, and their Thai teas are also very yummy. You really can't go wrong with any dish here!
They put so much care and love into their food and everything they serve is high-quality.
One of my favorite parts of eating at Thai Ni Yom is getting to talk to Nikki! She's so kind and just an absolute joy. She always makes sure we have what we need and is passionate about good food!
Overall, 10/10 food, 10/10 service, 10/10 experience!
