We had to visit Vandy's Children's Hospital, and traffic was crazy, so it put us two hours behind our schedule for the day. What better to do than look up a local pizza joint for lunch, right?
We were surprised to see that this place was basically down the street AND right off of the interstate. We pulled up, confused, as this place is in the back of this complex of businesses, but it has signs to guide you, and you can't miss it once you see it.
So, we walk in, and it's a seat-yourself style joint. SICK, PERFECT. They have couches with coffee tables all around, as well as normal tables. They have a nice, full service bar with local beer options (I chose "Chicken Scratch." I meant to get more info about it, but I let it slip my mind). They have HELLA dart boards, two pool tables, two of the basketball games [I love those], and a few claw machine games. I'm sure there is more, but this review is off of the top of my head.
Our server was SO dope. He was attentive, quick, and knowledgeable about ANYTHING we had to ask. I wish I could remember his name, but he is a VALUABLE asset to this company. The pizza was great, cheeeeesy, and they do not hold back on pepperoni AT ALL! They have salt, pepper, parm, and crushed red pepper at each table. They have condiments at your request, as well.
There is no smoking inside, so ✨️ ALL AGES ARE ALLOWED ✨️ {we took our 9 year old}. I am adding this for anyone who may be similarly...
Read moreNot at all what we expected from the website and even the interior. The website gives a mellow, chill hipster vibe. The exterior gives a rustic, gritty vibe. The interior is covered in floral murals on the wall, minimalist furniture…Only to be greeted by a DJ playing techno and hip hop WAY too loud, to a point we couldn’t even talk to each other across the table…at 5 PM.
We went before a Nashville SC game and it was filled with poorly parented kids running around, throwing darts on the floor, slamming pool cues on tables, throwing pool balls around (our two year old in her high chair was nearly hit by a cue ball that kids were just violently ricocheting around the table and would occasionally bounce off). I get our impression was off initially and this is a “vibes” place, but it was basically a dance club daycare for parents who want to drink and give their kids a slice of pizza and call it dinner.
The pizza I would consider “slightly above average”, with solid cheese, a good crust and a great bake. The sauce wasn’t the best, but it was still decent. Prices were average too.
If this was a standalone pizza place, Id probably recommend. If you’re a parent who wants to drink and let your kids roam around ruining someone’s dining experience, I’d definitely recommend. If you’re just looking for a decent meal where you can talk with someone and enjoy the meal and company, I wouldn’t say this...
Read moreI was there for the music, and that was excellent. Outside stage on a deck. Their live sound and sound system is super, their mixing board is high-end and the sound man was constantly totally on top of the audio. Definitely not a set-it-and-forget-it-guy.
Wedge 🍕 & pub is a huge warehouse type of room. Lots of seating. If you're into darts, then be ready to control your extreme excitement, because there are probably 15+ dartboards. Two pool tables... they could use a couple more pool tables, and could easily fit them in the space.
Everyone was pleasant, but the service was somewhat unfocused & confused. 2 simple orders took a LONG time. One order went missing. I do not recommend the chicken tenders. Yeah, I know, it's a pizza place. And yeah, I know, inflation. But over $20 bucks for a couple of freeze-dried chicken tenders from Grandma's old basement freezer, a little basket of crinkle fries, and a draft beer. C'mon. It was also quite loud inside. Loud enough to have to communicate louder than a basic talking voice to someone sitting right beside me at the bar. And not because of the live music, which...
