Totos Bbq express — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

Hey just wanted to say if you are looking for somewhere to eat then this place is one of the best you can go to. I personally love this restaurant and the rest of my friends and family can agree completely, I’m going to list everything that makes Totos a really great option to think about. First they have really, I mean REALLY, good food like my favorite called “BBQ Chicken Sandwich”. Another thing is that they pay attention to detail like their fries where they even put a very good seasoning on it. Third is that they don’t take forever to get your order, like 10-15 minutes to get an order of four whole plates, so if want something at a fast a reasonable pace then you also came to the right place. I know that this might not be important to you but most if not all of the workers are bilingual, they speak English and Spanish. Ok ok sure their food may not look they best or appealing but their food have one of the most bursting and mind blowing flavors out there. I love how every bite is something delicious but doesn’t get boring, I could eat their food for days and I still wouldn’t get bored. They offer charcoal grilled bbq chicken by 1/4, 1/2 or whole bird. We got the whole chicken with two large sides and four pieces of Texas toast. I thought it was a good value. The smoked chicken was moist and fell off the bone. The texture of the skin was closer to baked chicken which I do not care for. After eating it I had to carefully handle my paper napkin so it did not stick to my fingers. The flavor of the chicken had a slight charcoal taste but not very smoky. I did like vinegar based slaw and while theirs was creamy I could not quit eating it because it was so fresh and good. The baked beans tasted southwestern style and I could taste cumin in them but they were good, sweet and had pieces of brisket in them. The thick, hot, sweet BBQ sauce was good and was tomato based. They were so helpful making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. We were the last to eat before they closed and they let us take our time without feeling rushed. We did not even realize they closed at 3pm the day we were there. Maybe the chicken would have been even better during their lunch rush. The Texas toast was warm soft moist...

My family experienced a hit and run accident on Gallatin Rd today just outside of Totos BBQ that was absolutely terrifying. We were waiting in the parking lot for the police to arrive and Irvin came out to greet my family and offered us food and a place to sit inside. He was the physical extension of the grace of God and comfort to my family.

I waited outside until the police arrived to take my statement, and then went inside with the officer to get the statement of my wife. That's when I tried the pork sandwich... and that moment just got a whole lot better. The flavor was fantastic. The meat tender. The perfect combo of sweet and tangy.
