Waffle House — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

Walked in to be yelled at by someone saying hello. I have no idea who it was. My family and I were told we could sit anywhere we wanted to. Quick sitting, but that's the only thing quick in this place. After a couple of minutes our waitress took her sweet time walking over to us and had the attitude like she wanted to not be there. She greeted another group before us who came in after us. They also got their food and coffee before us, even though we ordered before them. After taking our drink and food order, it took almost five minutes to get two chocolate milks and a hot coffee. She never checked on us or asked to refill anything, but she could stay behind the counter and talk with her friends, make herself some coffee and put on a coat. The food was good except for the hash browns. They were nice and toasted on top, but still under cooked on the bottom. The bathroom was disgusting when I went to use it. There were pee stains all over the seat. Not just new ones either. Some have definitely been there for a good bit of time. When I told a different lady when cashing out about the bathrooms, she looked at me like I was crazy and didn't seem to care about that. The manager was next to her and she wasn't bothered by it either. Worst waffle house ever! I will not be back to any waffle house for some time after...

There was four people in our group. Some of our hashbrowns were almost burnt while others at our table got hash browns that weren't cooked with enough oil. I ordered my onions very well done on my burger and they weren't well done. The burgers were dry. There was little pieces of burnt food on every thing so the grill needed cleaning. There was food particles floating in my coke before I had even taken a drink. The service was good except that the waitress didn't bring any spoons to our table until we asked for one for my husband's coffee. We visited this waffle house in the evening and it really wasn't very good. We had visited this waffle house in the morning a couple weeks ago and the food was very good. Done to perfection. I do find one thing strange though. At this waffle house, you have to ask for the hash browns to be cooked in the ring or they will be scattered. My husband and I have dentures and when the potatoes are cooked scattered, they get so hard we can't chew them. At other waffle houses we frequent , you get your hash browns cooked in the ring unless you ask for them scattered. We will probably return to this waffle house in the mornings but not in the evenings. I give it 3 stars...

Very disappointing visit. We had a party of four and sat at the counter, which is what we prefer. We did have a wait which wasn’t a problem. But the staff member that was taking down names had the gall to tell someone that was waiting “people have some patience “. Our waitress was then very rude before we left because she noticed I was adding up the prices on our ticket which didn’t always match up to the prices on the menu, so I was checking the total. For one, she missed part of my sisters order, messed up her hashbrowns and they had to be redone. She said she would take 10% off the order, which was done. However, the main problem was how she spoke to me when I was checking the prices. She walked in front of me and said “I’ve worked here for eight years, I think I know the prices” and then threw two more menus in front of me even though I already had one that I was looking at. Unfortunately, I did not get her name. Plan on calling and talking to the manager shortly as they were busy when we left. We travel frequently to the south and stop at different Waffle Houses along the way...we love them. But have to say this was the worst...
