Are you kidding me? For a supposedly 24hr locale they sure love to enforce hours which one is allowed to use the locker room. This is twice TWICE now that I’ve been asked to leave the locker room for cleaning, and each time was at a different hour of the day. The guy working last night honestly told me I had five minutes to get my clothes on and get out of the locker room. As if that isn’t bad enough he told me this while I was IN THE SHOWER. Has he met any woman anywhere ever?? After managing to get out of there a record breaking 13 mins later he tried to hold me up at the exit, apparently I looked perturbed enough to make him concerned as to why I requested his name (Lennie-no name tag). He hurriedly tried explaining he was the only employee there and he needed to clean the bathroom before his shift was over. Well I was the k my female when I entered the gym, the only female there during my workout , and the only female exiting the gym. Also he couldn’t have informed me of this before I stepped into the shower to wash off the post workout sweat?? Had this been the first time this location pulled this it could be put on the employee but an almost identical situation happened just a few months earlier with a female employee and at a different time and day of the week. Plus their resistance workout equipment is broken and quite dangerous to use if used properly. Which people may not know how to do considering I’ve never witnessed a employee try and help anyone use the equipment at all. The facility itself is fine—mostly clean, and decent machines. The problem here is their hours. This gym is very clearly geared toward retirees and people who do not have jobs as they don’t seem concerned with the early morning crowd by any stretch of the imagination. Since starting my membership here, they chopped their hours and are closed until 5am or 7am 3 days out of the week. As I need to access the gym around 4am, I am paying full time membership for access 4 days a week, Tuesday-Saturday. Next week they’re closing Monday for Labor Day but won’t be back open til Tuesday at 6am, so I will be able to use my membership 3/7 days. This wouldn’t be so frustrating if some sort of offer had been extended upon the restructuring of the hours to those whose schedules are greatly impacted, but instead of any communication, they chopped the hours and the staff too, apparently, because there are never any employees here (or at least visible) if I wanted to take advantage of my black card membership amenities on one of the 3 days I can actually use the facility. I hope Planet Fitness Bellevue can reexamine their new exclusionary hours and strive to accommodate everyone rather than just some people, as their motto advertises. I have been going to this planet fitness close to about 2 years. I’ve never once had an issue, the staff is always nice, gym is clean. Tonight when I went in I left very annoyed. They now close at 9pm on weekdays and I did a quick workout then got in the tanning bed right around 8:45 so I could be out of there by the time they close. Usually when I use the beds they are cleaned. It wasn’t until I got into the bed and started tanning I realized it wasn’t clean. With taking safety procedures for covid I felt this was unacceptable. When I finished tanning I quickly was getting dressed so I could leave, and at 9:00 on the dot the male stuff was knocking on my door, rushing me out. I felt uncomfortable in a way by this because I wasn’t even fully dressed yet. They could clearly hear me rustling around getting dressed and they kept knocking on my door within a minute of time. This wasn’t my only complaint, earlier this week I came in to use the tanning bed 30 minutes before they were closing and a tall African-American employee complained to me “why are all these people coming in to tan when they know we are about to close” in a snarky way. I pay for a membership here, sir. I once worked at a country club that closed at 9 but some nights we would stay open til 12-1AM because guests wouldn’t leave. Your job...
