Worst experience I have had at any restaurant..ever. I have been to this Applebees at least 5 times in the past few years. The other times it has been a pleasant experience, no issues. This time however..much different. My wife ordered the Bourbon chicken, my daughter ordered chicken Alfredo and I ordered the 8oz. Sirloin. We also ordered boneless wings as an appetizer. We received the app in a decent time but no utensils. I waited for our waitress to return after a period of time. I informed her of no utensils and she left, returned to the table across the aisle and saud nothing. At that point, I found the hostess, asked her for utensils, she returned and said they were trying to get some washed. I said ok. A few moments later, our entree' was bought out and still no utensils, I informed them we still needed utensils. We were finally brought out utensils and we proceeded to eat our meal. I finally got around to cutting into my steak and I might as well had told them to throw it straight on the plate. It was bleeding everywhere. I had to find our waitress again and ask her to get them to cook it some more. I needed more tea to drink but I was distracted by the steak issue. The waitress did not come back to check on us. After a good wait, the manager did come by and say my steak would be out soon. I said ok. After a long wait , I finally got up and found the manager. I informed her I was still waiting on my steak. She assured me it would be out soon. After another long wait(I'm a patient person, believe me) I found the manager again and told her I was ready to go, our waitress has never been to check on us, I needed a refill on my tea. I felt I had been patient enough. I told her I needed 3 to go plates and some tea. I went back, waited again, they only brought my steak out and no extra to go boxes with no drink. At that point , I told the manager that I did not want the steak and they could keep it. Just call it a wash. She said she wasn't going to charge us and I said fine. I left the steak on the table and went to McDonald's. There were other customers there with the same issues. That's a whole mother story. The manager was very courteous and I told her I understood she was in a stressful position. I don't know if she was calm, shell shocked with the problems or was just in a I don't care mode. I don't think I will be returning. My experience from...
Read moreWe went there last night (2-14-25) for dinner and yes I knew it was going to be very crowded and busy but we haven't have Appleebee's in a long time so we thought we would go and have a nice dinner. Well, when we got there, there was a short wait for a table, which is understandable, but once we got seated, I swear they forgot about us. The hostess sat us at our table and we sat there for a good 15-20 minutes before someone finally recognized us and took our drink order. We were so close to getting up and leaving. We had server after server walking past us like they were trying to pass the time but no one even acknowledged us until someone finally came. Idk if it was his section or not but he was the only one that actually paid attention to us and checked on us in a timely manner. Another girl brought us our food order and she was so rude. She gave us a stank eye look while walking to our table, put our food down without saying a single word and didn't even make eye contact. She acted like she wanted nothing to do with us. I didn't give names but she was short and looked like she was pregnant? Overall, the food was so good and just like I remembered it. I would have given it a 5 but my husband's steak was unevenly cooked. One side looked like it was medium well and the other parts were mushy like it wasn't even cooked at all. Just picked up out the cooler and thrown on a plate, he requested rare. If it wasn't for the guy who finally noticed us and waited on us, I would have given the service a solid 1. I didn't get his name but he had a buzzcut. There was another guy there that had dreads but I think he was a host as well so I think he was the only guy server that night. I understand it was really busy that night and people were running around with their heads cut off (I can't imagine the kitchen) but to bascially ignore a table to the point of almost walking out, is just unheard of. At least, take their drink order first and then run off and do what you need to do to give them time to look over the menu. We all felt silly just sitting there. Please do better. Hire more help if ya'll need it and make every single employee work that day, knowing how busy ya'll...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars, I would. When we walked in, we were told it would be a 25 minute wait. I asked if we could sit at the bar and we were obliged. A couple behind us asked if they could also sit at the bar, and were told yes. The couple were provided menus before my party and we watched them eat their appetizer and meals before I could finally flag down the bar tender to ask if my salad was even ready. She appeared upset at the audacity of me asking and ran off without an answer. She came back about 15 minutes later with my Ceasars salad, chicken Alfredo and brownie with ice cream. The chicken Alfredo was drenched in a watery Alfredo sauce and the ceasar salad was drenched in what appeared to be a ranch dressing but the manager said it was ceasar. I attempted to eat it anyway but could only really play with it, as it was awful. When the bar tender finally came back over, I asked her to take back the desert with melted ice cream and bring me a freshly prepared brownie with ice cream. She immediately screams that I asked her to bring everything out, and I corrected her telling her the service was bad because I had to watch people who came in behind me eat entire meals and I'd only asked her if my salad was ready. She jerks off ignoring the heck out of me and serves what appeared to be regulars exchanging small talk with them and what not. I wait another 15 minutes before I realize she is just refusing to serve me or address my issues. I ask to speak with the manager and describe the ratchet service received and the bar tender refusal to serve my brownie without melted ice cream. From my observance, I could tell they were friends and absolutely nothing would be done. This has to be the saddest Applebee's I've ever visited with the worst customer service. I see this restaurant closing down soon due to young inexperienced workers with no idea that it takes good customer service to keep customers coming in so the restaurant could make a profit. ...
