Went back and enjoyed it all over again. Quick service and food is delicious!

So its been 9 months since last review .. yesterday we went again 6.4.24. The sushi serving size was larger than I remembered. Enjoy the photos. It's really authentic delish food! We ordered so much from seafood ramen, chicken ramen, Sexy Sushi and so much more!

Update, Yi Sushi was bought out by Koi Sushi (or at least this location was about 6 months ago). So let me provide you an update with the latest pictures.

We had a blast!!! The food was excellent and I definitely will go back again. They now have all you can eat in addition to the individual orders.

Oh, If you're craving for Japanese, there's a nice little restaurant in National City called Yi Sushi (they have lots of seating inside). We came for lunch and really had a wonderful lunch deal... then we signed into Yelp and got an XTRA 10%!!! Very delicious and great on the pocket! Oh yeah. If you love waiting as much at Disneyland or Universal you're in for a ride. Enjoy a comfy bed of rice per each bite and never make it past round 1 before they close.

My boyfriend and I came on a Sunday night at 6pm with two other tables dining here already (pretty much empty) and I swear they have the most slowest service ever.

The server of ours is an asian lady with short hair wearing a red shirt and she didn't bother to check in with us after like 30-40mins. Instead of catering to the guest eating here, this server lady would rather just go to her colleagues and flirt with them.

She needs to be trained again and hire someone else who is more attentive to work here.

It took a whole hour to even get our simple orders ready which was just a couple rolls and nigiri's.

Aside from that with such slow service, 3 front running staff are all taking a break so no water service or any service??? I have never seen this happen in my entire life and I don't know if that is even possible (SEE PICS)

So disappointing. All the good reviews made me actually think this place would be good but nope. The chicken hibachi tasted and looked like the food was sitting out somewhere and they just microwaved it and served it to us. Everything was so stale and flavor was so bad. I legit took a few bites and knew i had to leave. The sushi was extremely stale as well. The seaweed paper was actually so chewy because it absorbed all of the rice from sitting in it for so long. I can tell when sushi is made fresh, this was 100% not it. I can't believe they charged $13 for both plates. What a huge waste of money. Literally not worth going here and spending the $30 for two stale and obviously not fresh made food. Save your time and money to go elsewhere. I ended up walking to a nearby boba place called San Diego Boba cafe which actually served fresh food & drinks. Way more affordable and extremely delicious compared to the trashy $30 meal at Yi Sushi 2. Unreal how bad...
