My wife and I love having breakfast at Pepita's outdoor patio and enjoy the owner's hospitality and attention to detail. You always are made welcome by Chuy, the owner and his daughter Alejandra. The food has that special homemade taste just like my grandmother used to make including the flour tortillas that are included in our breakfast. We will certainly be back for breakfast and maybe lunch and try other items in their menu. Highly recommended.
My wife and I were in the mood to try a new to us restaurant for breakfast. We ended up in National City at Pepita's Café. We placed an order to go of ham and eggs for me and huevos a la mexicana for my wife plus a couple of coffees. Service was excellent, fast and friendly and the food was delicious, we really enjoyed it. To go packaging was of good quality (didn't end up on my lap while eating in the car). This last time we asked for an itemized receipt and we got the run around. Our bill as we kept track of the menu price would have been around $28.00. He gave us bill for almost $36.00.
